Bill and Clay came in and did outstanding tile work and was very upfront about what could be expected along the way. Even in a room that did not have a flat floor they managed to lay an amazing looking and level tile.

When our original contractor went out of business in the middle of the project, we were left with a mighty mess. Our showers were improperly and incompetently started. We needed someone local and dependable who would be willing to inherit a mess and try to fix it. Bill Curran came and devised a plan. He and his team were prompt and punctual every day at 8 am for two weeks. First, demolishing the inept first work on our shower tiles and then diligently and skillfully rebuilding the new and stunning result. In addition, he competed the half finished stack stone work in the entry way and the entire kitchen backsplash glass tile work. We cannot say enough to appreciate how Bill helped dig us out of a pit and get our remodel back on track. The final result is just beautiful. We will include a before picture and a midway. All our best to Bill and his team, Stan and Carol Reynolds.

I worked with Bill, the owner. I had a fairly large project on a new home in which I remodeled the kitchen backsplash, reilted a marbale wall for the powder room, downstairs shower enclosure retile, and extensive remodel of the masterbath: retiled floors, glass wall, as well as a master shower enclosure retiled for a steam system. Bill is meticulous, and passionate about his trade which shows in the finished product. He takes his time so if you're patient, it'll be worth the wait. I found his prices very reasonable. I provided him with my own tile which he was nice enough to give contractor pricing on materials. I had no issues with communication, as he is quick to text. Again, thank you to the Curran team for a job well done!

Details: Kitchen • Bathroom • Backsplash • Wall • 301 - 400 sq ft • Wood • Natural Stone • No, but I will buy the tiles myself

Bill and his team covered my existing retaining wall (had stucco) with about 500 sqft of stack stone. He also laid a wall cap stone on top (about 170 linear ft). It was a lot of work and his team did it quickly and with excellent quality. I'd highly recommend him to folks needing tile or stone work.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our pricing seems to run similar to many other LICENSED contractors with similar qualifications and work quality. I have had potential clients want us to match prices they have from unlicensed contractors, but these "contractors" almost certainly are not covered even by the required Insurance bond we licensed contractors are required to carry. They more than likely work "under the table" so to speak and do not pay taxes. If an install fails / is done with substandard quality or materials, you have no legal recourse against them, but you do with a licensed contractor. Its worth "peace of mind" to spend a bit more and be protected by an insurance / bonding company.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

It's all about understanding exactly the needs of the customer and what their desired outcome is.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Over 30 years of experience in tile and stone work. I was chosen by a large custom builder ( Walt Brett / Charger Const., / he has relocated to a different state) to install all types of tile/ travertine/ marble in 2 award winning homes he built for the "Tour de Elegance" home shows in the late 90 s.
