FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing reflects far more than the moments we’re together during your ceremony. Every wedding includes time spent getting to know you, learning your story, writing a completely customized ceremony, revising it together, communicating throughout the planning process, coordinating logistics, arriving early on your wedding day, performing the ceremony, and ensuring your marriage license is completed and handled properly afterward. I never use generic templates or “fill-in-the-blank” ceremonies. Every ceremony is written specifically for each couple. I also offer elopements, vow renewals, commitment ceremonies, and rehearsal services. If you’re planning something unique, I’m happy to create a package that fits your needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once you reach out, we’ll schedule a phone call or video meeting to get acquainted. During our conversation, we’ll discuss your wedding, your vision, your personalities, your relationship, and what you want your guests to experience. I love asking thoughtful questions that uncover the little details that make your relationship uniquely yours. From there, I write a personalized ceremony from scratch and send you a draft to review. You’ll have the opportunity to make edits, add stories, remove anything that doesn’t feel right, and make sure every word reflects you. By the time your wedding day arrives, you’ll know exactly what to expect, allowing you to relax and fully enjoy the moment.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My preparation comes from both professional experience and a lifelong fascination with people, relationships, spirituality, and meaningful life transitions. I was raised in the Catholic tradition, which gave me a deep appreciation for ritual, symbolism, and the sacredness of ceremony. Today, I serve couples from many different backgrounds, creating ceremonies that honor faith, spirituality, or a completely secular approach with equal care and respect. In addition, I spent nearly 30 years as a probation officer, where I learned how to listen deeply, communicate with compassion, remain calm under pressure, and connect with people from every walk of life. Those skills have become some of my greatest strengths as a wedding officiant. I’m also continuing my education through interfaith studies because I believe there’s always more to learn about serving others well.
