Introduction

Hi there! I have been teaching group fitness and yoga for 20+ years and I LOVE what I do! In 2001, I graduated with a BS in Exercise Science and continued to learn new teaching methods. I am certified in Yoga (RYT 200), TRX, Les Mills Bodypump, and AFAA Group Fitness. I have experience teaching at colleges, gyms, studios, and corporate settings with attendees varying from kids to seniors in chair yoga. I enjoy tailoring each session to the needs and abilities of each of my clients, with an emphasis on helping others achieve their individual goals. I truly believe that yoga is for EveryBODY, at any age, and fitness level. It is my goal to share the joy of yoga with you. Let's Yoga Together! I am also the founder/owner of Yogatrex which offers destination yoga sessions throughout the San Diego region. We hired Cathy for a corporate team-building event and she was fantastic! Her energy, background knowledge, and ability to connect with the team were more than we could have asked for. We had all ages and varied yoga experiences in our group, but Cathy made each attendee feel comfortable and welcomed. This was the highlight of our event!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once we review your goals, physical abilities, limitations, and any other concerns you may have (or maybe you're just nervous and unsure what to expect in a yoga session) I'm here for YOU. I will tailor each session to your needs and yoga experience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started as a Group Fitness Instructor in High School when Step Aerobics was the next "big" thing. I stumbled upon Yoga during my college years and realized that you don't have to be super bendy and flexible to start yoga! Yoga is a self-journey and a way to connect with your own body physically, mentally, and spiritually. It is my goal for everyone to have their own "ah ha" moment and recognize the benefits and joy of incorporating yoga into their lives.
