Introduction: We serve commercial and residential clients. The focus of my architecture practice is to satisfy the needs of demanding clients looking for pleasing and cost-effective design solutions to their domestic or business problems. My client list includes individual Bay Area homeowners, as well as rapidly growing businesses that have worldwide name recognition. From custom residences to administrative offices to labs, clean rooms, TV stations, and even retail stores, I have had the opportunity to practice architecture continuously from 1987, both in California and Europe. I can provide full service or only the parts where you need help. New Construction, Additions, and Remodels/Renovations: Decks, kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, offices, and media rooms Design: Concepts, ideas, cost estimates, budgeting, 3D computer or cardboard models, sketches, and plans. Permits: Planning and building department, drawings, and calcs. Bids and Construction: Meaningful and competing bids, contract review, job site observation, solving field conditions, and inspection assistance I have 11 years of experience after graduating from U.C. Berkeley, and four years after getting licensed, I started my office in 2002 to provide an important service to home and business owners in the Bay Area. The building and planning codes have become so complicated; construction has become so expensive that many problems that would have an architectural solution remain unsolved. I design the solution and help negotiate the maze of permits and entitlements and construction. Most of my experience prior to 2002 has been in the world of commercial and high-tech architecture. This wealth of knowledge infuses my daily work on the smaller projects my office delivers. Some of this high-level expertise gets applied all the time: acoustics and soundproofing are essential to cozy homes, and knowledgeable coordination with engineers results in safe and pleasing structures. I have a list of highly qualified engineers and construction companies that I have worked with. I will assemble the right team for your project.
