Introduction: There’s a certain type of person that lives for the stage. Lives to entertain. Fueled by the smiles and energy of a crowd. Into this tradition steps Mercy & The Heartbeats, a dance band comprised of veteran musicians from some of the most popular and successful dance and touring bands in the Bay Area and beyond. If you've got Mercy, then you've got all your favorite songs - 70’s and 80's classics, 90's singalongs, and the most current radio hits. A band not to be missed! Collectively, the six members of Mercy have been trusted to share the stage with legendary artists spanning all genres and decades, such as Mark McGrath (Sugar Ray), Bret Michaels (Poison), Coolio, The Sugar Hill Gang, Tone Loc, Steve Harwell (Smash Mouth), Pat Monahan (Train), Lou Gramm (Foreigner), The Black Keys, Digital Underground, Phil Lesh (Grateful Dead), Peter Buck and Mike Mills (R.E.M.), Mickey Thomas (Starship), Garry Beers and Ciaran Gribbin (INXS), Jennifer Holiday (Dreamgirls), Jerry Reed, Mel McDaniels, John Lee Hooker, The Coasters, Malo, Jorge Santana, Ryan Merchant (Capital Cities), Don Ho, Tony Lindsay (Santana), and many more. They’ve performed the national anthem for the Golden State Warriors, San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, San Jose Sharks, San Jose Earthquakes, and Livermore Rodeo. Their talents have taken them all over the world to entertain everyone from the United States military to the executives and employees of companies big and small (Google, Twitter, Salesforce, Genentech, Apple, Dell, etc). They’ve played every size event and venue there is - 50 person weddings in intimate barns, sold out shows at the Fillmore - even the Jimmy Kimmel Show! And now, the members of Mercy & The Heartbeats bring their talents together to entertain you! One purpose, one goal: for you and yours to have as much fun at your event as they do every time they step on stage.

One word, AWESOME! Mercy & The Heartbeats performed at our corporate event this week and they were a hit with everyone there. They played a set list that covered every genre / decade and could read the crowd to know what was working best. Before long the dance floor was full for the night! If I am planning another event soon, they'll be my first call.

Details: Corporate event • 76 - 100 guests • 18 - 30 years old • 31 - 50 years old • Band • Vocals • 6 -10 • Oldies • Jazz / Blues • Pop / top 40 • Covers • Variety • Rock / classic rock • Other

I cannot express enough how instrumental Kyle, Jacque, and the rest of Mercy and the Heartbeats were to making my bay area wedding the best night of our (and our guests') lives. We can't recommend them more highly!! Leading up to the wedding, friends kept asking what I was most excited for about our wedding, and I'd always reply "the band". I knew they were something special when we went to their showcase, but even with those incredibly high expectations, my partner and I were BLOWN AWAY by the energy, playlist, personality, and fun that Mercy & co injected into our reception. So many guests told me they have never seen a dance floor that packed at a wedding before -- people were dancing on the grass next to the dance floor because there wasn't enough room. I'm serious when I say this lasted the ENTIRE 3 hours they played. Some guests didn't even eat dinner because they wanted to dance instead. So. many. people came up to me that night and in the days after to tell me how they usually don't dance at weddings, or usually don't like wedding bands, and yet they couldn't stop dancing at ours because the band was so good. Not only was the wedding itself amazing, Mercy & co couldn't have been easier to work with leading up to the wedding. Their showcase was a blast and sealed the deal for us booking them since we couldn't help but dance while they played. Once we booked, they checked in regularly. They asked for broad song preferences and then based on my response, created an unreal 90's setlist that perfectly reflected the vibe I was going for. They controlled the music during our ceremony and cocktail hour, and served as emcees. They were the perfect, non-cheesy, professional-but-fun hosts for the night. What I love most of all is that they're all amazing musicians and fun people individually, not just a run-of-the-mill wedding band who goes through the motions. I had high standards for my wedding band and it was truly the only thing I really cared about during the planning process. Again, even with sky-high expectations, I couldn't imagine how much Mercy & the Heartbeats would blow them out of the water. THANK YOU for making our wedding the best dance party I've ever been to!

Had the BEST experience in working with Mercy & The Heartbeats. Kyle was great to work with from start to finish and the band was phenomenal. Our event had such a good time with the energy and enthusiasm coming from the stage. It was a non-stop party from first to last song. Absolutely NO reservations about recommending this great group to anyone who's seeking live entertainment for their activity. Tons of fun was had by all.

I hired Mercy and the Heartbeats for my event. Kyle was easy to communicate with in negotiating a price. The band was also very flexible when I came to them with ideas like having some of the audience do a dance-off for example. As for the band themselves...WOW. They are awesome. I took my family and neighbors to see them at a local concert in the park. They were professional to deal with and delivered on every promise.

There are no weak links in this band--every single member is a consummate professional with years, if not decades, of gigging experience. There are bands out there that are good technicians, but not great performers; or good performers, but lacking in musicianship. This band has it all. I challenge anyone looking for a cover band to find a more talented, hardworking, and ambitious band in the Bay Area than Mercy and Heartbeats.

I think you mean you'd CHALLENGE "anyone looking for a cover band to find a more talented, hardworking, and ambitious band in the Bay Area than Mercy and Heartbeats." LOL - Thanks Charlie, we appreciate the kind words!
