- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In order for me to calculate a price quote, I ask that you provide the following information: - Solo performance or band? - If band, what instruments? How many musicians? - How long would you like the performance to be? - What style of music are you looking for? - Do you have any song requests? - Will you be providing sound equipment or will I be bringing my own? - Is there a dress code/theme for your event?
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will exchange messages with the client to get a better understanding of their vision for the event, and to make sure that I can provide what they're looking for, either solo or with a customized lineup. If it's determined to be a good fit, then we can work together to come up with a setlist. I require a 20% deposit for events scheduled two or more months ahead of time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I sang in choirs and took vocal lessons in grade school. I then studied with beloved Bay Area jazz vocalists Gail Dobson and Roger Letson, as well as Shaunna Sandro in Austin, Texas. I have been playing guitar for 24 years. I have taken several music theory, history, and performance courses at DeAnza College, Austin Community College, and minored in Music at Saint Edward's University in Austin, Texas.
