I have over 17 years of plant experience and knowledge, ranging from organic farming to to houseplant and orchid care, landscaping to hydroponics .
I would love to help you with your gardening visions and/ or needs.
I offer general maintenance, landscaping and design, including weeding, pruning, plant installation and transplanting, irrigation, water features, and pest control for small to large-sized gardens, public and private. I have my own truck and tools and am insured.
I have an artist’s eye for detail, form and color, and a musician’s keen sense for listening and collaborating.
I endeavor to create beautiful spaces. I would love to help you with yours.
I also have over 16 years experience professionally installing artwork, including curating interior spaces, hanging artworks in grids or salon-style, and rigging, moving and setting sculptures. Please consider me if your project requires any of these skills.

I wish I could give him more than five stars! I found Jonathan on Thumbtack several months ago and I feel like I lucked into hiring the best garden professional ever! I originally hired him to do monthly maintenance, and quickly added to his ‘to do list’ once I found out how talented, communicative, reliable, reasonably priced and all around wonderful he was. I would never recognize either my front planters or my backyard from earlier this year. Everything is now lush, thriving and beautifully maintained. Part of why things are doing so well is because, among other issues, Jonathan identified some plants that were ill-suited to their environment. We worked together to choose new plants and he then found new homes for the those that weren’t quite right in my yard! He has also helped me up my game with my indoor plants. For the first time in my life I feel like I have a green thumb - due again to Jonathan’s excellent work re-potting, trimming, fertilizing, and coaching. He has been a tremendous resource and I’ve appreciated his flexibility in how he works, ie do I purchase the plants and materials or does he. Everything that Jonathan uses is non-toxic. In the words of Tina Turner, he’s simply the best!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is generally $45-60 hour, plus cost of supplies, depending on the project. Of course, we can discuss details during a site visit/ consultation.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Asking questions to learn what their personal vision for their ideal environment would look like. Vocalize a plan of what I think the timeline and budget might be in order to turn that plan into reality.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in painting that informs aesthetic choices I make in a space, indoors or outdoors.
