This is a long-overdue review! I called FixItBay to repair our dishwasher after we moved into a new place. The dishwasher hadn’t been used since it was installed, and unfortunately, it wasn’t draining properly.
Andrei responded promptly and was able to get us on the schedule for the very next day. Our technician, Shakh, arrived on time and was very courteous. He quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed it without any problems.
It’s been almost a month since the repair, and I’m happy to report that our dishwasher has been running perfectly! I’ll definitely be calling FixItBay again if I ever need any appliancerepairs in the future. Highly recommend!

Andrei was punctual and very professional. He took the time to analyze what was wrong with my appliance (dryer that was accumulating water) and suggested that I get a new replacement piece (lint). After receiving it, it was indeed what was needed!

On the heels of a disastrous home service experience, Homayoon’s attitude and professionalism was a breath of fresh air! He arrived as scheduled, came prepared to assess the problem and spent the time and effort required to correctly diagnose it. Upon his return with the necessary parts (two malfunctioning water valves), he was once again prompt, polite respectful and professional. He remained to actually run the washer through a cycle to ensure the issue was resolved. We are happy to have a washer that doesn’t beep constantly. I will now consider FixItBay a “go-to” provider for home service needs. I also am impressed with Thumbtack and the immediate referral to three possible service providers. They are also a new “go-to” for me!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is always transparent and fair.
There’s a $80 service call fee, but if you go ahead with the repair, that amount goes toward the total cost - you don’t pay it twice.
We’ll first agree on the repair price before I begin any work. Parts are paid upfront, and labor is due only when the job is done and you’re happy with the result.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I listen carefully to the issue - every detail helps. Then I schedule a visit to diagnose the problem in person (diagnostic fee is $80). If you move forward with the repair, that fee goes toward the total cost. After that, I explain what’s going on, suggest repair options, and provide a clear estimate. Once you approve it, I get to work. No pressure, no hidden fees - just honest service and a 6-month warranty on both labor and parts.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in mechanical engineering and years of hands - on experience, including time on cargo ships - where I learned to fix complex systems while the floor was literally moving under my feet. If you can repair something in high seas and stormy weather, you can fix it anywhere 😃 In the U.S., I’ve spent the last three years helping local clients with reliable, quality appliance repairs - and I love what I do!
