Matt responded quickly to a wall crack that was causing a window leak. Did a great job and was clean and very efficient. Matt seems knowledgeable about general home maintenance and I will definitely reach out to him again for future projects and recommend him to neighbors.

Matthew was a lifesaver for a project we embarked on to restore old pocket doors. There was a century (literally) worth of layers of paint on the old doors, and when we tried to strip the paint down to the original wood, we quickly realized we needed professional help. So grateful we found Matthew who has interior/exterior paint experience along with an artist attention to detail. After consulting with Matthew, he came to our house and worked on the doors on our side deck. It was no easy feat, and Matthew put us at ease and even gave us advice after his part was finished. He was thorough, thoughtful, calming and an absolute pleasure to have around. Will definitely be reaching out to him for anything paint-related and recommend that others do as well!

First of all—I’ve been a visual artist / graphic designer for over 6 years, and I was amazed by Matthew’s work when I saw he was working on a commissioned painting for my neighbor, a technical landscape piece involving fine detail and a low angle perspective. I was so impressed with his brush skills and his attentiveness to specifications and symbolism requested for the piece. After seeing the diverse range of his work on his website/instagram, I commissioned Matthew to create paintings of my dog Sapphire, and he far exceeded my expectations. He was soo nice to work with and made sure to check in with me throughout his creative process while being very receptive to my thoughts. I’m so happy to own Stansell Art works paintings—its one my most treasured and cherished possessions!
