Great trainer. He gets you where you need to be. Carlo will go out of his way to work with you on schedule changes and makes sure to do what he could to accommodate you. I would recommend him to anyone that wants to accomplish their goals in the gym.
I've been training with Josh for over a year and a half now. I first decided to train in mixed martial arts just as a new workout routine, and because I enjoyed the sport as a fan. I was essentially starting from scratch, and because of that I felt that getting personal training would be more effective than taking large group classes so that I would get the fundamentals down from the start. Josh was very patient in teaching me all the basics. He's a great teacher, and is able to break down some very complex techniques into simple instructions that can be applied. He also understands and focuses on what his students goals are and gears the training accordingly, so that you're always learning something specifically catered to helping you achieve them. Ive come a long way since I first started working with Josh and because I have gotten results faster than I originally expected, I now have a different set of goals from when I began. I have no doubt his teaching can help me get there. Josh definitely puts you through a tough workout, but its a lot of fun and I really look forward to it each week. He has accomplished a lot in this sport, so he can fit whatever experience level you are at. I consider him not just a coach but a friend and fully endorse anyone looking for a trainer to check him out.
Sifu Victor is knowledgeable, patient, and a great teacher. As his student, he will provide you the opportunity to learn the benefits of Wing Chun with a practical, cultural, and balanced perspective.
Daniel Kim is a great trainer who trained me in Muay Thai. He is very knowledgable and can help get you to whatever level you are looking to get to, whether it be getting back in shape or competing.
I was a little hesitant to train with Geoff at first since he owns a martial arts gym & I wasn't that interested in the sport. I saw an image in my head & wondered what training with him would be like. In my head I saw a scene from the karate kid & didn't think he'd give me the kind of workout I was looking for. I am SO glad I decided to ignore my initial hesitation & try things out. The workouts we do change every time & I'm constantly challenged & out of breath. He incorporates a boot camp style approach with weights, lunges, running & several surprises that will keep you guessing walking into each session. Geoff will push you but be right there with you, encouraging you the entire way. I came home from the first workout so sore & spent & was instantly addicted. My sister listened to me detail the session & signed herself up to train with Geoff the next day. My body is already transforming & my endurance is increasing. I won't be giving up my training time slot with Geoff anytime soon.
I first came upon Mehran about 8 years ago when looking for a karate program for my daughter. I had visited a few dojos in the area, and was concerned that the rigid, almost militaristic atmosphere would not be a good fit with my daughterâs easy-going, easily distractible nature. The first time I visited Mehranâs Okinawa Karate Academyâs kidsâ workout he was immediately open and engaging, inviting my daughter to join that dayâs workout. I was struck by his great rapport with the kids while also encouraging them to do the exercises with the proper technique. I liked it so much that after watching a few classes I joined the dojo also, and have been happily having him encourage me to correct my techniques ever since :-) Mehran is an extremely skilled martial artist. His many years of experience and willingness to work with people of all levels make him a great asset to those of us fortunate enough to be able to work with him. I highly recommend to everyone interested in learning karate to visit Mehranâs Okinawa Karate Academy, and join us for a workout.

I contacted Terri to teach a self-defense class to a group of 18-year-old young women, before they went off to college. Terri was quick to respond to my e-mails and easy to work with. She organized the class, complete with online sign-up and payment and we were all set. The girls loved the class and felt that Terri not only taught them physical ways to protect themselves, but she also gave them loads of advice about how to carry themselves, how to react in situations, what to be thinking about, etc. I would recommend Terri highly.

Having lived in Japan for 8 years does not make me a better instructor, in and of itself. Nor does having been a tournament champion. 35+ years doing Karate and several years doing other martial arts helps my level of understanding. Having a deeper technical knowledge than almost anyone else outside of Japan helps as well. But what really sets me apart is the passion that I have, not only for Karate-do as a way of life, but for teaching it in a way that helps students progress as quickly as they are capable of.
