We hired Angela to teach our five and nine-year-olds Mandarin. We have had three lessons with her and so far, we are thrilled to have found her. Angela is thoughtful, intentional, enthusiastic, committed and genuinely cares about how my kids are learning. She always comes to lessons on time and prepared with worksheets, tools and lesson plans. She makes up games to keep the kids engaged and interested. She keeps a great balance between fun and structured teaching. She is a gifted teacher. Right now she's teaching them Pinyin and even though their progress is slower because we only see her once a week, I am happy with how much they're enjoying lessons. We cannot recommend her enough!

Angela is an incredibly patient and knowledgeable tutor. She works closely with the student to understand their goals for fluency and as the lessons begin to pick up momentum she skillfully identifies where individual trouble points are and how to effectively address them.
