Fitness has been a big part of my life since I was 16 years old. I have trained family and friends since I was 18 years old. Love what I do, love getting my clients results and helping them make fitness and health an important part of their lives.

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

I like that I can make a difference in someone else's life. I can help them feel better about themselves, whether it is gaining more strength, lose weight, feel more energetic, more mobile and etc. This makes me feel good at the end of the day and inspires me even more to continue doing what I already love doing. :)

    I would recommend Christina to anyone!
    I was part of a baby bootcamp that Christina ran (basically a bunch of young moms who wanted to get in shape and/or loose a few pounds). Christina was great! She is super nice, knows how to work with various levels of fitness, and my body was always sore after her class(in a good way). I would recommend her as a trainer to anyone.

    I Miss Christina's Fitness Routines!
    The service Christina provided as a fitness instructor was excellent- she catered to each individual's fitness level and made every routine fun and interesting. She was also motivating and encouraged everyone in class to stretch themselves and reach their maximum potential.

    Christina has a great personality. She is very encouraging. She is attentive to each individual's form but in a non-judgmental way. She is very patient about helping me correct my form. I have worked out with many trainers. She is my favorite one!! The exercises are also fun even though they are hard!

    A wonderful trainer that cares
    Christina is a wonderful empathetic trainer. She has a gentle yet motivating style of teaching, while maintaining a strong eye on details. I have been athletic the majority of my life and she was able to spot little things I was doing improperly that was straining my lower back and knees. The difference in proper positioning made a major difference in my endurance and results. I had very ambitious goals and with the 14 sessions I had twice a week with her, I was able to achieve every one of them. If my assignment in San Francisco was not over I would still be with her now. I wish Los Angeles had more trainers like Christina!!!!!

    Great personal trainer
    I used Christina for weekly personal training for about a year. Christina was able to craft a unique training regimen for me based on my specific goals. I learned a lot of new techniques from her that I still am able to use on my own today. Christina's sessions were intense and definitely felt like I got stronger and more fit as a result of working with her. Christina also has a great engaging personality and that made our sessions enjoyable even with the intensity of the workout.

    Have your baby and work out too!
    Really enjoyed coming to Christina's class when I was on maternity leave! It was nice to be able to have a sweat session while having my baby right there with me. Christina was very good about incorporating strength training, cardio, and changing up the routines every time. She definitely helped get me back into shape postpartum! Totally recommend!

    My experience has been Excellent with Christina. She is very knowledgable and she pays attention to my goals. Within a month of working with her I have lost 10 pounds. As a tennis player, my joints are in constant pain but thru Christina's program I can now play without any brasses and pain-free. She is always well prepared for our sessions..

Q&A

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We first speak via phone or meet in person (even better) where a potential client and I get to meet each other. We discuss his/her fitness goals and clarify the plan of action to arrive to these goals. Then we schedule a first session (regular length) which is comprised of getting aquainted with the fitness space where we will be training, a fitness assessment and the first short workout. After this we schedule the first personal training session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I always educate myself, research, attend conventions, and such because I really enjoy learning! Right now I am taking a great college nutrition class. I just attended a fitness conference that I go to every year! I got certified to teach kettlebell traing there as well as behavioral/lifestyle modification coaching. I took many great classes on nutrition, functional movement, medicine ball training, and weight loss. I plan on getting TRX certified in the beginning of May. I currently am also a personal trainer at a great company here in SF.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
It started with my own background in dance and fitness. I helped a few of my family members and friends to get in better shape and it made me feel good to see them achieve their fitness goals. There I knew that I was doing what I really enjoy! :)
What types of customers have you worked with?
Female, male, senior populations, clients with strength building goals, weight loss, mobility, flexibility, general fitness training, after ACL surgery, muscle atrophy and other muscular disorders, post-injury, during pregnancy, post-partum, nutritional guidance.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
First of all, a personal trainer needs to be educated and have experience in what he/she does. Second, there needs to be a connection, a client and a trainer need to enjoy working with each other. Third, both need to be respectful of each other's time and no last minute cancellations/changes in schedule unless necessary.
