Ricardo is a diligent electrician who genuinely wants to do a good job. He is reasonably priced, knows his stuff and works hard. He is good at planing the times he is available and forecasting how long the project will take. He showed up on time and did the work. At times, you may want to be sure to over earlier specifications when he arrives for the day so there is no miscommunication in what is expected and what will it take to accomplish that. My job was fairly complicated as it involved ceiling, wall, panels and wiring for a variety of devices that are not normally used. I'd hire him again.

Excellent job A+. The body of the house is done in a flat paint named "Covered in Platinum", the accent color is blue "China Clay", and the trim is semi-gloss "white". We called to schedule an appointment with the painter via phone. He mentioned that they work with Dunn-Edwards paint. We went online and then to the Hayward paint store. At the store, the woman sat down and discussed the paint color wheel with me. She pointed out that yellows and reds fade, paints with hints of green will become very green, and pink tones come out bright pink. We got paint samples and the painter put up a few colors as part of the price. Painter representative Nicole came to the home a few days after we scheduled the painting. She collected the deposit via check. She also did a walkthrough of the property to take photos of the exterior areas that needed repairs. Vents: The attic vents needed extreme repair as we had 15 birds that got into the vents. The painter was able to get the bird nests out with no harm to the birds. He was able to replace all of the vent covers. Painter: 1. Free quote given. (Deposit due) 2. Friday: Collect deposit, take photos 3. Monday: Power wash 4. Tuesday: Holiday 5. Wednesday: Repairs 6. Thursday: Body of the house and accent color 7. Friday: trim, doors, touch up (Remaining balance due) Painter did the work during business hours. The neighbors have already complimented the colors and quality of the job. The painter is well-trained as a third generation painter. You can tell in the skill and ability that he cares about his job and the end product. He included repairs in the price and treated the job with dignity and respect. The final outcome is amazing. His quote was competitive with other painters but a few hundred less because he includes the repairs in the bid. Other painters were trying to nickel and dime us by negotiating every repair. He was the best for the job after 5 bids. He is a person of his word, he kept to the schedule, and included all the bells and whistles. I recommend him to anyone who wants to get the job done right.

Jasper did an excellent job of designing and building my computer desk and storage unit. On our first meeting he was able to translate the description of what I wanted into a drawing with measurements. On his next visit he confirmed the measurements and proposed workarounds for dealing with challenges such as the room's molding as well as taking a paint sample to match the color of the unit with the room. The results were better than I expected. The unit truly looks built-in with molding around the top that matches the molding in the room. Though it's a floor to ceiling unit, it does not feel overbearing due to the design, color and seamless attachment to walls and ceiling. He was easy to work with when making adjustments in order to accommodate placement of my computer equipment. When I specified what I wanted, I got exactly that. Jason is an extremely competent woodworker and very fast executor. I would highly recommend him.

Mr.Barry was a pleasure to work with. He was always on time. Gave a detailed daily expense reports. I had to get a few fixtures installed, some minor electric work and then had to get a few accent walls painted. Mr.Barry provided an estimate before we started and the work was completed on time and within the agreed budget. I had a couple of last minute requests which came up and Mr.Barry worked late to ensure, everything was ready before my house warming. As for the actual job itself, it was fantastic. My friends could not tell that we had to run wires in the wall and patch it. The paint job for accent walls were fantastic. I highly recommend Barry for any paint and home repairs.

We hired Carlos and his team to paint several rooms in our office as well as patch some holes and do other minor repairs to the wall. They did an excellent job. I can't even tell that the holes were ever there! They were also very clean. I've hired three different painters for this office and this is the first time that I haven't heard any complaints. They were very polite and professional.

I cannot explain how grateful I am to have met Economy Home repair through this app. They were fast, friendly, and the service was impeccable. I had recently been working to restore a 1912 Craftsman style bungalow in Oakland, and then accepted a job in another state. Bad planning for me, but luckily I had Thumbtack and Economy Home Repair there for me. They we're first contracted to remove the aluminum siding that was wrapped around the house, then, we needed them to fix or replace any damaged shingles from the original siding, and then lay a coat of paint over it all! They got that done in a couple weeks!! Later on, I needed their help to finish up some tile work, and to put up some Sheetrock in the 2nd floor. They got that done with no hesitation. Again, I cannot be more grateful for that team. They deserve 100 stars.

We went from framed to frameless shower enclosure and when the old glass was removed, we quickly realized we needed to make tile repair prior to installing the new glass. We decided to have a different company make the repair. Owner, Michael Compton of Compton Construction quickly responded to my Thumbtack post, set up an estimate appointment and provided me with an estimate the same day. A repair appointment was set up immediately and all was repaired, cleaned up and perfect in just one visit. This was a smooth and fast repair. Michael is great to do business with. He's easy going and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend Michael Compton Construction and will certainly use them again. Five gold stars!!! So happy to find Compton on Thumbtack. (I'd like to add that I received several/max quotes and decided on Compton Construction). -Happy home owner

I had water damage running from my deck into the wall. Henry had to tear out the wall and replace 3 beams, then replaster the drywall and repaint the walls and deck. He was very thorough - built a frame to protect my piano, cleaned up every evening before he left, and cleaned up all the debris when he was finished. I was very pleased with the quality of his work.

I recently work with WNH on a foundation repair job. My home inspector point out the expose rebar which can cause rust to deteriorate the foundation wall. Tay was very quick to answer all my concerns. The work was done quickly and passed all inspections. I was very happy because we were in a rush to close.

We had stucco work done to the house. Basically Asael reworked someone else's mistakes, made many recommendations and repaired all that we needed him to do. He was such a professional, worked 12-14 hours per day till he finished the project in 5 days. That is unheard of for such a project. They worked so clean every day after they finished each day and no mess whatsoever. I highly recommend Marcelino plastering to anyone thinking about doing any projects. As a matter of fact, i will not let anyone else touch my house, but Asael.

I had a fantastic experience working with Kevin. I was moving out of my apartment and I needed last-minute assistance repairing several holes in my wall before heading out. Kevin was incredibly responsive and flexible, I changed the time on him once or twice and he rolled with the punches. Kevin repaired the damage quickly - the entire request had a life of about 6 hours. He was also very friendly, shared some tips about how I could repair similar damage on my own (in case I'm ever face with a similar emergency and pressed for time). Kevin was a professional throughout. Highly recommend!

To Whom It May Concern: A short while ago, I hired Mr. Pastorino to paint my entire living space, which included a very high coffered ceiling in the living room. I chose Mr.Pastorino after I noted that he has a 30 year history of working for top, 5 star hotels in San Francisco, including the Huntington, where he served as a Master painter for 15 years. My job needed to be expedited so that I could move back in with minimum inconvenience. Mr. Pastorino’s work exceeded my expectations! My house looks beautiful! His workmanship is impeccable. The attention to detail is very obvious. There was also some patch work that was needed in the plaster, and his repairs are seamless. He is very neat and he cleaned up his working areas promptly. I should also mention that he was very helpful with my color choices, as he has the knowledge and talent with regard to both contemporary and old world palettes in home decor. I highly recommend Mr. Pastorino. Cynthia Delaney Jack London Square

Paul made sure that he had the correct thickness sheet rock to replace a 6 sq ft area damaged by cat urine. He also treated the area with urine destroyer before patching the hole. He carefully protected the surrounding area from plaster and dust before starting work. His repair job was neat and the texture matches the surrounding area so I can't tell it was patched. He used a spray plaster to retexture our closet ceiling with water damage. He said he wouldn't use that product again because the spray hit the walls that we didn't want to repaint and the texture doesn't match the surrounding area. In other words, he did a great job with the dry mixed plaster but not as well with the spray can.

We had a problem with a leaking window in our home. We contacted several contractors and received bids for the work. We chose Barton Builders based on the quality of the bid, the price and the discussions we had with Steve Barton about the job. The window is 10' by 5' and is over 30' in the air and there is no easy access to that side of the house. Steve brought in a scaffold contractor who had to lift the scaffold over the house and erect a 3 story structure in order to reach the window. At all times Steve worked with the sub-contractor to make sure that the work was performed safely and properly. Upon beginning the demo phase of removing the old window, a serious amount of water damage was discovered. This required the removal of a large section of the back wall of the house and the repair of the structural damage. Steve worked with us on costing the work and scheduling the work so that there was minimal impact on the overall job. Steve had a copper flashing fabricated for the new window to insure that it would never leak again. The window is of excellent quality. The stucco repair, exterior painting, and interior dry wall repair were all accomplished on schedule and on budget and were of excellent quality. Steve is great to work with and listens to what you have to say. I would certainly use Steve again if the need arises and would recommend him to anyone looking for a solid contractor.
