I moved for my job and left my property to OneRent for rental income. And then I had to fire them because of their poor performance and lack of communication. The transition was challenging not only because I was away, but also because OneRent won't cooperate. Dana (the founder) was very patient & professional to handle all the issues and bring everything back into normal. While I was struggling with OneRent, I missed the chance to rent out my place, but she was able to find a good tenant after 3 showings.
There are a bit of work involved - filling a few forms and so on. But these are the things that any landlord would like to be involved or at least wants to know. There is absolute transparency in the process and the fee is substantially low. Most of all, Dana is very knowledgeable and fantastic at handling the issues.
One more thing - not sure if OneRent was trying to rip me off or if the price with Hemlane experts are reasonable. In any case, I got two quotes from these two propertymanagers for the same job and Hemlane’s quote is 40% lower than OneRent.
In all, I highly recommend hiring Hemlane - it is good to know what’s going on and my propertymanager has my back.

Hemlane provided a valuable service for me in 2015, by helping with the screening of potential tenants for my rental properties. As a result of their intuitive and easy to use system, my applicants entered their financial and prior rental history for review purposes. Best of all, the Hemlane team provided extremely valuable guidance for setting key metrics for evaluating applications all with the laws required, and for minimizing the exposure of financial risk. I would strongly recommend Hemlane for any rental propertymanager who wants a business partner, and not just a vendor, to help them be successful with their end to end operation. They also introduced some very creative enhancements which demonstrate their focus for innovating in their industry they serve. Definite LIKE!

The guys at Hemlane are super nice! They are actually reachable on the phone! And they do 90% of what my previous propertymanager did, but much cheaper.

Our pricing is transparent and flexible -- we cater to your needs! Owners will find our prices to be very competitive because we allow them to control the decisions and financials. We've found that this provides a lot higher customer satisfaction, with no surprises to owners.
Select from management only or add tenant placement (also known as leasing). Most owners love the flat rate package for tenant placement, where we offer showings and a move in inspection at a flat rate. If you are very price conscious, ask about the software-only package. It provides all of the tools and resources at a much more affordable price.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We always start with a phone call to make sure that we're the correct solution for you. Our customer-first centric model makes it where we do not want to take customers who will not benefit tremendously from our services. Then, we'll schedule a time to come view your rental.
