- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Repairs are unique. No two pieces are alike, so consequently I cannot form a "set" menu of prices. Each garment is priced individually upon inspection from photos.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I'd love to chat about your pieces! Text is the quickest way to get ahold of me/a quote. Once we determine what fixes need to be made and agree on pricing, we can set a drop off time. Payment is requested up front.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been reimagining, mending, and maintaining my own vintage garment collection (all articles I wear on the daily) for 20 years. I've creatively repaired silks, knits, leather, denim, etc. There's a solution to any garment in disrepair, and I love the challenge in making a garment useable again. In July 2021, I began offering mending services to neighbors, and here we are!
