FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My 3-Step Strategy-First Process 1. 15-20 Minute Optimization Call: We start with a quick technical deep-dive into your specific tax profile (RSUs, 1099 income, or rentals). I identify missed opportunities from your prior years and provide a transparent, flat-fee quote. 2. Secure Digital Onboarding: You’ll receive a link to my encrypted client portal to sign your engagement letter and securely drag-and-drop your documents (W-2s, 1099s, and brokerage statements) from any device. 3. Precision Review & E-File: I analyze your data in collaboration with an experienced CPA to ensure 100% compliance. We meet virtually for a final walk-through of your return.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
CTEC Registered & Bonded: I am a California-authorized tax professional, meeting the state’s rigorous standards for tax education, security bonding, and ethical practice. IRS VITA Certified: I have completed Advanced training through the IRS-sponsored VITA program, specializing in complex credits and individual compliance. I volunteer as a tax preparer to low-income families during tax season. CPA-Collaborative Practice: My firm operates in direct partnership with an experienced California CPA. This provides my clients with senior-level technical oversight and additional peace of mind. Gig & Equity Specialization: I undergo annual continuing education focused specifically on Bay Area tax complexities, including RSU/ISO reporting and Schedule C optimization for solopreneurs.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure your tax preparer is registered / licensed in your state, is bonded for additional protection to you as the customer.
