FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am currently looking to take on a 1-2 new students. Discounts are available on a need-based basis depending on fit and commitment.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Regardless of skill level, these are key goals I help develop: [1.] Learn/Refine the mechanics around effortlessly playing any violin technique. [2.] Develop an impeccable ear, and the ability to discern harmonies, chords, stylistic embelishments, song forms, and other musical qualities. [3.] Become comfortable and skilled at improvisation! Learn how to express creative energy, and even jam with other musicians. [4.] Build a personal style that includes any of the following (whatever the student wants): - Beautiful lyrisism and technical virtuosity of classical music. - Swing, rhythm, and expressive sounds of jazz, blues, funk, and soul. - Shredding (crazy solos) from rock, and fusion. - Other stylistic qualities from India, Middle East, Easy Asia, and more. [5.] Learn how to integrate any artist into your sound, from Frank Sinatra to Taylor Swift (any artist). The process is highly personalized. For new students, I introduce practices that help build fundamentals across all of the above aspects of music. This will include violin exercizes, attentive listening to songs, singing, making music together. Proportion all depends on the student's intentions.
