This is a gem in the South of Market area! Once you walk through the front door, you are transported to another era, a vintage San Francisco that we long for. I stumbled upon the place when I was rushing to a meeting nearby. On my way back to my car, I decided to go in and take a look. I was immediately captivated by the elegant and welcoming decor as soon as I opened the door. The two instructors, Mike and Melissandra told me that they have just opened the studio in December of 2022. They are friendly and professional. I have always wanted to dance so I decided to start with group classes first. After a few group classes, I was ready to give private lessons a try. I met some very nice people there and we have a fun dance community. The best part is I can go at my own pace, absolutely no pressure to get a lot of lessons. I really enjoy my dance time. I exercise my body and my mind while having fun with my friends. I strongly recommend this studio.

I love going to Melifolla Dance! I'm picky about who I take my salsa or bachata classes with. I've checked out several classes in the east bay and in the city to find the right teacher fit and finally found them in Melisandra and Michael. They're teaching style creates a friendly and fun environment to learn. This goes a long way for anyone who is intimidated by the prospect of going to a salsa, bachata or other dancing style class for that matter. I know I was. Now, I go ever chance I get because I learn so much from them and they're just nice, awesome folks!
I highly recommend Melifolla Dance!

I'm so thrilled to know that Michael is teaching dancing again in San Francisco. His knowledge of dances and his teaching methods, along with Melisandra's, are well above my expectations. Competitive pricing from Melifolla Dance, along with having extremely well-talented dance teachers who are obviously professional dancers themselves, is a big help and benefit for budget-conscious students like me in learning to become good dancers without encountering major financial stress concerning affordability.
