FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For wedding lessons, I offer great discounts on multi-session packages. Try one session and decide later if you want more! My lessons are priced per hour, most teachers in the Bay Area only offer 45 minute sessions, my pricing reflects the extra 15 minutes (it's really worth it!) Let’s have a chat and figure out your needs for an amazing first dance! - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In our first lesson, I’ll ask a few get-to-know-you questions to understand the scope of your project: how many songs, your wedding date, any parent dances, how you want your first dance to feel, and whether you prefer choreography or something more natural. I’ll start with basics tailored to your song, connect them to its mood and energy, and layer in solid partnering skills. My goal for the first lesson is to have the leader comfortable with leading their partner through the basic steps. At the end of our lesson we'll have a follow up discussion, now that we've experienced the process, and make a more informed decision about how much work we need to do to reach our goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 5 years of experience specializing in wedding couples and their first dance. They are my favorite type of client and my favorite type of work. Every year I work with 80+ wedding couples, choreographing to every type of song under the sun. The possibilities for a wedding dance are limitless and that is so exciting! I’m a Ballroom and Latin dancer (think Dancing with the Stars). That’s my formal training, and I apply it to my wedding-style choreography. I’m knowledgeable in Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Quickstep, Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Paso Doble, Jive, Salsa, and Swing.
