Introduction: My yoga teachings are based on the Indian traditions, but they also include the wonderful knowledge of my previous teachers who taught in Taipei, Ghana, and Washington DC. My Indian teachers emphasized the importance of lesser-practiced aspects of yoga such as pranayama breathing exercises and meditation, and I enjoy sharing these aspects with students who are looking for a deeper, more spiritual practice. Focusing on the breathing helps deepen your posture practice and rejuvenate your body. I know how rewarding it feels to twist your body into a new yoga pose, and I love all the physical asana poses just as much as the mental practices of yoga! Yoga has been such a big part of my life for so long, that I can't help but be grateful. Getting to share that with others is the best job ever! It's especially rewarding to hear students who say they feel like a completely new person in their body and mind after a yoga practice.

I was incredibly lucky to meet Amanda while I was on a personal retreat in India. It was a serendipitous meeting because I ended up really needing the clear outlook and wise views that Amanda had to share. Her advice and insights come from an old soul who has travelled around the world, and along the way, picked up a detailed observation of the human experience in all of its joys and challenges. With Amanda's guidance, I was able to sort through my personal discoveries made on my retreat, relate them to my previous emotional imbalances, and develop a plan to move forward with enlightened perspectives paired with meditation and yoga practices. My growth would not have been nearly as great without her help. Her observations are keen and advice spot on. Everyone would benefit working with her! Even more amazingly, I was also able to take private and group yoga lessons with Amanda! Her qualities I described above make for a beautifully focused practice. Not to mention, her eye for corrections and ability to manually adjust my postures really helped me gain new insight on a few of my postures. Thank you, Amanda, for all of your help! I hope paths soon cross again!!

Amanda is a great yoga instructor! She is always on time and ready to help me jump start my mornings bright and early every Tuesday and Thursday. I needed an instructor to come to my home to get me motivated to get my body moving consistently and Amanda has been my rock through the transition of getting up early to exercise. I had not practiced in years and am so happy to have Amanda to get me on my feet again. She is motivating, changes it up, and pays attention to form. She even gave me a yoga workout with awesome visuals to use to motivate me to practice while on vacation! I would highly recommend Amanda's yoga services.

Amanda is a wonderful yoga teacher. She has been working with me on my yoga practice for the past two months. Already in this short period of time I can see a lot of improvement in my practice! Amanda is gentle and kind, she is always on time, and she takes a personalized approach to her students. She is a very good listener and she adapts the classes as we go to fit my needs. I highly recommend Amanda's private yoga classes.
