He fixed what 2 other electricians could not. Very knowledgeable and professional! Honest and responsive. He's an invaluable resource.
Amin responded to my request for a shelf installation within an hour of my post, which was a pleasant surprise. After receiving his proposal through email, I spoke to his wife on the phone to set up the appointment. She is a really sweet lady and was extremely informative and accommodating. I was delighted when his wife told me that they would be able to make a same day installation appointment! Amin came 10 minutes early to our appointment and was able to finish a keyboard tray installation in less than 30 minutes. Overall, very satisfied with this job and will be calling Amin for any of my future handyman jobs!
I have to say hiring Nima for some electrical repair and installation was one of the best ideas possible. He did an absolutely phenomenal job from beginning to end. I had personally interviewed seven other electricians to install floodlights motion detectors and a beam for home. Nima responded immediately, professionally, detailed in his process and procedure, and came in well below any of the other estimate. His work was flawless. I couldn't be happier and I promise if you hire him you will not be disappointed. He is a decent good man who does fantastic work for a low cost.
Moving into an older house and had several upgrades to do. Got quotes from 3 electricians--one was unprofessional, one was way overpriced and would not itemize the several jobs we had, and Adrian was everything they were not. He was professional, personable, quick to schedule, and finished all the work in one day. He worked with us very patiently on some requirements we had and gave us more than we asked for. We'll definitely be hiring him in the future as we continue work on our home. We are very happy customers!
I appreciated his work ethic and skill. He installed an electrical outlet. I compared his estimate with others and his price was fair and included patching the hole in the wall which other electricians would not do.
Steve proved himself to be an excellent choice for me to have some home improvement work taken care. Within 10 minutes of placing my request on Thumb Tac, I had received a response from Steve with an estimate of how much it would cost to do the work site unseen. Within an hour he was onsite looking over the project; we were able to quickly negotiate a fair price to have the work done with Steve including the demolition and haul-away of a weathered wooden shed and the spa pump, heater, and other items stored within it. My primary request was to have a somewhat large, very weathered wood deck demoed and hauled away to a landfill/dump. Steve turned out to be an easy-going, personable, and exceptionally hard worker very knowledgeable in many areas of home improvement, construction and demolition. He carefully and expertly executed the demolition and haul away of the entire wood deck. – A lot of work. Steve worked his a$$ off to demo the deck and haul it away in an efficient, timely, and proper manner. As a result, I asked Steve to also provide a power wash to my house paying special attention to my very weathered front walkway pavers. Throughout the project Steve followed through on every promise and worked especially hard to bring out the best with the power washing of the pavers providing an exceptionally noticeable improvement after removing a lot of baked in dirt, grime, and fungus. There were a couple of times when Steve could not make it back to continue the work at the agreed upon time due to unexpected ‘life’ events, which I understand happens to all of us. However, even given a couple of unexpected hold-ups, he made it to the site every day, kept me in the loop with what was going on, and gave me a discount to compensate for the inconvenience and hold-up in getting to the site due to these interruptions. He went so far as to show up on a Sunday to coat and seal the newly power washed front walkway pavers. All-in-all, it was a great experience working with Steve. He was reliable, a hard worker, very proficient and knowledgeable, and very competitively priced. I look forward to having him back for other home improvements in the near future. Thanks for a great job, Steve! -Bob
Andy came out to give me a quote on installing a new EVSE (an electric car "charger") for me. I needed a new 40A, 240V circuit added to the house's main panel, as well as the EVSE itself mounted on the wall. His quote came in quite competitive to prices I received from non-licensed electricians and almost half the price of electricians I called or emailed from Angie's List. His assistant/main electrician Juan actually did all the work. Andy's sole contribution was running to Home Depot to pick up the correct (antiquated) circuit breaker for my house's 30-year-old GE panel and briefly discussing with Juan the scope of the work. Juan was excellent! A very friendly, knowledgeable guy. He was done with the entire project in about an hour and fifteen minutes, then we chatted for at least another half hour about various electrical things. I learned more about electrical stuff from watching him work and picking his brain on stuff like GFCI outlets and whole-house 100A->200A upgrades than I'd learned in years of home ownership. Though it was a very straight-forward project, I was really impressed by Juan's professionalism and how much he cared to do his best, instead of taking shortcuts. Would definitely recommend Andy and Juan for anyone on the fence about hiring them.
Quick response to a middle of the night query. Increasingly bothersome flickering of light fixtures, turning into occasional loss of power to lights and appliances without reason or provocation in two or three circuits without tripping breakers, until a "Poltergeist" type light and sound show at 2 am. Did some DIY run through internet sites and thought better. Discovered Thumbtack by chance and gave a try. Received three responses of interest, liked the reviews and understood the nature of the few negative ones too. Particularly drawn to the fact AJ was a local professional who was still in town! First visit was to trouble shoot. But knowing the neighborhood and building stock and electrical profile, he described and diagramed what he believed was the ultimate problem and solution, replacing at sometime in the near future the aging, original main subpanel with old pushmatic breakers and questionable wiring. But rather than spend unnecessary hours on the clock to further troubleshoot, he proposed replacing two questionable breakers and tightening some clearly scarred contacts, to see if that improved the situation and gave us time to plan what we agreed was a necessary upgrade down the road. He did the work swiftly and efficiently. The performance was improved marginally over the next few days but it was clear that it didn't make sense to wait on the new subpanel. We set up a time. He credited his past work and gave us a reasonable bid. He came as scheduled and when we went behind the panel, everything he originally suspected was there. He installed the panel and wiring in the six hours he projected at the start of the day. AJ was direct, straightforward, cordial and friendly. A teacher and tradesman, he took me through the electrical mechanics of it and was transparent in his dealings. I appreciated the respectful and mature approach, while being personable. It is now over 5 days since the work was done and we haven't a flicker of a doubt that we are safer and sounder now. As smooth an operation and recovery as I could have expected.
2 toilets repaired in less than an hour. He purchased the hardware and made the installation.
Hector did an excellent job. He showed up half hour early. Hector was very efficient and very friendly.
Migz General Contracting was on time, courteous & completed the job within the hour.
Our house in Corona was built around 1988 - 1990, and so our Circuit Breaker Panel was about 25+ years old and the switches were getting bad, and many of the handymen and servicemen that came to install our appliances or fix some electrical issues recommended that we look into upgrading our circuit panel. We knew that would cost us around $2K. Few months ago we decided to go ahead with this upgrade. We looked at different electricians in the area and some through Thumbtack, Tim was one of the five guys that gave us a quote here. We gave Tim a call and he came over our house to look at our system and gave us step by step details on what he would do to replace the circuit breaker, how much time it would take, what kind of licenses needed by the city, etc. His price quote was higher than most other estimates by other guys, but still was lower than $2K. We decided to go with him since he seemed very professional and knows what he is doing (we wanted this project to be done right from the first time), and was willing to work around our own schedule as we were doing other home improvement projects. We agreed to a certain day, and Tim went ahead and bought all the necessary parts for this task (which were covered by the price he gave us from the start and there were no changes). Tim contacted our electric company to get approval to turn off power on the day of so he can do his work/upgrade, and the company would turn the power back on the same day after the work was done. Tim arrived on time the day of the work, 7 AM, took about an hour to prepare the materials and make an opening on outside wall around where the old breaker panel was located (since the new 200 Amps panel would be much larger in size). Power went off the house at around 8 AM, by 12 or 12:30 PM all work was done and the power came back on. Tim originally estimated work time would be between 4 - 6.5 hours, our upgrade was easy and quick and so was on the lower end of the estimated time. We had to wait though until around 2 or 2:30 PM for the city inspector to come by and approve the work and issue us a license, but that was outside Tim's control since the inspectors don't give you an exact time but rather a window time frame when they would be in your area. Overall we are very happy with this upgrade, it’s been 3 months since, and everything is working nicely. After this project was over, we had to bring a handyman who would close up the stucco wall around the new breaker panel since a larger opening was needed to access the wires and Tim informed us about that from the very beginning. In the past few months we have brought Tim over to fix a couple other electrical issues around our house since we like his professional work and reasonable pricing and we are always happy with his finished work. We highly recommend using Tim (Electrical Connection) for your next electrical project/fix :)
came after hours and did the repair immediately.
Great work - came within an hour of posting job - and did exactly what we wanted. thanks!
Raul, Thanks for the very good electrical work you’ve done at my home. From rewiring, lamp work, new outlets and switches etc. I am always amazed at how well - and how quickly - you accomplish the projects. I would recommend you any time to anyone. It is refreshing to have a local competent electrician I can call for help on anything. Much appreciated! Tony D. Mueller,
Rick is a first class electrician. He responded to my inquiry within an hour. Even thought it was late afternoon and very hot he came same day. Fished a wall, added wiring and a wall switch for fan , Then he found a huge mistake from previous work ( not his) and fixed it. Very nice guy, veteran ( thank you for your service) and family man. I will absolutely use Rick again
Recently over a strong wind and storm, we had a major tree branch fallen on our roof bringing down main power line to our service panel. Fire Department crew and Edison staff came out and took care of the imminent matters but Edison notified us that they will cut off our power unless we repair the damaged riser and reconnect all the electrical wires right away. We called around for the job but no general electricians were willing to do it because of the risk of handling a high voltage power line. Then, we found Tyson. After a phone call, he came over to our house right away on the same day and gave us a reasonable estimation specifying all the details of work and time and labor cost estimation, and we decided to hire him for the project. A couple of days later, he came over at the crack of dawn doing measurements for the needed supplies. He came back with all the supplies and began working on repairs. It was quite a project beyond what we first imagined. He had to establish and strengthen the existing power panel (we live in this 90-year old antique house) up to the code so that we will meet the current code of the power company. He had to reinstall with all new materials for the riser and connect the power line back to the electrical panel. While working on it, he found that more tree branches were in the way keeping the power line down, so he even gave a major tree trimming to do the job right. When he was done with his project, he not only installed the brand new riser but also trimmed our trees and further and fasten/strengthen the electrical panel. Now the power line to our house is well above what it used to be, keeping us safer than ever. All these work came out to be a major project and he had to put in so many more hours than he estimated. He worked hard all day long without stopping. We offered him more pay but he refused and asked only for the original estimation. We had to force him to accept our offer until he reluctantly accepted. We feel so lucky to have found a right and honest person for this job. We got the job done well and we know we will be safe with the installation he made for us. Besides, now we can always go back to him when we have more electrical problems in the future and we know he will be there for us with his honest hard work. Very Satisfied Customers in Arcadia, CA
Needed a ceiling fan installed, and he was in and out in three hours! Great work!
I received a full depth consultation concerning several jobs at my home that warrant an experienced electrician. Corey King was on time for the appointment, concise in his advisement and willing to follow up to complete the jobs in various phases.
Colin was able to troubleshoot my outdoor electrical problem, found the issues and was able to resolve the problems. All is working and we are very thankful! Great Job!
You will never have to look any further for a more qualified, professional, trustworthy, well spoken electrician and all around great guy. Tom is all those things and more. I had a problem with a backyard remodel that included installing underground gas lines extending about 80 feet and connected to very expensive outdoor heaters. My contractors workers could not figure out how to properly connect the heaters and would never read the manuals when I suggested that. Ultimately the heaters were connected incorrectly and didn't work. They no longer knew how to troubleshoot the problem and pretty much made it my problem from there. The few electricians I did contact said up front they did not want to take on the task or they kept saying that they needed to come out to "take a look" if it was something they could resolve. Two did come to assess the problem. Decided they didn't know how to fix the problem but of course charged me to "take a look". From then on I made sure to ask other electricians if they had experience with gas lines and gas heaters. They never wanted to answer that question and insisted on coming out. That was very frustrating for me because when I pushed the question they admitted they did not have the experience. From the initial inquiry Tom responded within minutes. He answered at least a dozen questions in detail and never pushed to make an appointment. I asked him for an appointment. He showed up on time. He could immediately smell gas leaks where I could not. In a few minutes he found several problems. Made sure to show me each problem and explain how they affect the heaters from working properly. He fixed everything in a little more then two hours and finally the heaters worked beautifully. I also had him install a motion light. He is coming back next week to install 4 indoor fans, more motion lighting outside and two attic fans. Tom turned a stressful and frustrating problem around for me. I'm so grateful to him!
