Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I have Ten years of experience training rescue animals to prepare them for their forever homes and two years of experience training non-rescue animals in one-on-one training sessions with their owners. Training experience includes basic obedience, rehabilitation of aggression, rehabilitation of abuse cases, and rehabilitation of anxiety. I also have seven years of pet sitting/boarding and dog walking experience for pets other than my own. I possess proficient skills in temperament evaluation, giving medical injections both subcutaneous and intravenous as well as IV usage, and giving oral medications in both liquid and pill form. I love working with animals. I have had an affinity for animals since I was extremely young- there is little that satisfies me more than helping an animal become the well-rounded, well-behaved furry citizen I know it can be or setting a clients mind at ease knowing they can enjoy themselves because I'm taking excellent care of their four-legged family members.

Shell came out to help with our 9 month old American Pit Bull Terrier Cocoa. Cocoa needed basic obedience training, as well as to be taught not to jump on guests, not to pull on leash, and to be less dog reactive on walks. She helped us with all of that as well as gave us tips on how to get Cocoa to stop jumping on and scratching up the sliding glass door, and how to better direct her energy while left in the yard to help her be less destructive. She really helped us to teach our dog to be a model citizen. We would definitely recommend her services.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I often have an informal phone interview prior to accepting new training clients or setting evaluation appointments. This gives me an idea of the issues to expect as well as the potential trigger for the issues. After the informal interview comes the evaluation in which I observe the dog in his natural habitat, his behaviors, and his responses to correction of unwanted behaviors. This allows me to come up with a customized training plan that fits the needs of the client and the personality of the dog.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have almost a decade of hands-on experience working with rescue dogs. I have rehabilitated abuse cases, aggression cases, and anxiety issues.
