Photographs preserve our memories, our history, our family & friends. They are passed on to our children and, like fine wine, will be cherished more with age. They can bring tears to our eyes and smiles to our faces. Our lives are captured in these images.
I discovered my passion for Photography working as an art director/commercial artist for corporations and ad agency's for 30 years. As an Art Director I've directed hundreds of photo shoots, my transition into Photography was natural. The combination of both skill sets gives me a unique vision through which I creates photos and graphic design.
I am a published and award winning photographer who specializes in commercial, portrait & headshot photos, glamour photos, large & small event photography, corporate and ad agency work.

Dan was wonderful, showed up early and ready to go. So professional and personable. We had an art show opening and he took professional photos of the art work and then for the party, he took photos of guests and circulated. It was a wonderful night and I was so pleased with Dan. If I have future events, I will absolutely use him.

I hosted a rehearsal dinner for my brother in LaQuinta and hired Dan as my photographer. His pictures and candid shots captured the event and evening beautifully! All the shots whether posed or candid were amazing especially given the mountain backdrop. Thanks Dan for capturing such a great night!

It was an absolute professional pleasure working with Dan. We hired Dan to shoot my 50th Birthday Celebration, and in doing so we found our event photographer for life. He was punctual, patient, professional and friendly to the entire party. He was sociable, funny and just a class act. He was reasonable in price and very responsive to messages. His work, lighting and attention to detail to get just the right shoot was impressive. 2 days after my 50th BD, I got engaged and we already know who we want to be the photographer for all of future life events to follow. UPDATE as of 05/26/2020: As mentioned, we hired Dan to do our engagement photos and once again he did not disappoint. He was responsive, professional and very accommodating. Dan had a trusty Pose book that helped us capture some memorable moments to which we were connected and gave us ideas to take beautiful poses but still stay in the moment. Dan photographed my son's 1st birthday party over the weekend. He arrived early at the events place, we were just setting up and he's there already! He's very nice and professional. His rates are very competitive with the experience and amount of work that he does. The photos he took was about 300+, and it came in the mail earlier than expected! And then he put in surprise 8x10 and 5x7 prints as gift for our family, thank you Dan! It was greatly appreciated. These pictures we will surely put in a frame and will treasure forever! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All my pricing is based on the the type of photography your wanting and always within your budget. I have a 2 hour min.
All photos taken in a secession are sold as a package ether on a DVD/ Flash Drive or prints.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I furnish a quote and if the client excepts the quote I then set-up a
pre-shoot meeting in person, by phone or via the web.
The meeting is to make sure we are all on the same page (so to speak) and to listen to the clients need,concerns and ideas.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 3 years of formal art school pluse 2 years of photography school.
and a number of seminars in various fields of photography. I have been behind a camera for the past 30 years. I am based out of San Jacinto, California. I started Dan Viescas Studios after 35 years as an Art Director, directing countless photo shoots in the corporate and commercial fields. I decided to get behind the camera in the early 90’s. So after a few years of photography school and numerous photography work shops I started Dan Viescas Studios.
