A truly pleasant experience! And anyone who has had renovations knows that pleasant isn’t a word you usually use- it’s quite an uncomfortable experience! But My Construction Group made this process smooth and their professionalism every step of the way was not lost on me! And they finished on time! I’ve had some nightmare experiences so this 5 week process was a joy and the result of 2 beautiful bathrooms (1 of which is now like a spa!) is a dream come true! Thank you, My Construction Group!

I hired My Construction Group to remodel my garage and I did not have a good experience. 1. When it came to collecting money they did not delay for a second. They even made one accounting error which I had to mention. 2. There were no quality assurance checks. Almost every step of the project there were mistakes (see images). For exmaple - During movement they broke my brand new washing machine. It took some back and forth before they agreed to cover the damages! - They installed an unfinished closet ladder. My wife noticed it wasn't installed correctly and it was a safety concern. - They forgot to install insulation and plywood in the attic. Again, I noticed it and brought it up to their attention. - They messed up the plumbing for my water softener & sprinkler system and it's still not working! This was part of the project and I paid for it. - During the paint job, they paint sprayed over the garage window, brand new garage door springs, and one of the light switches, which is now a little "sticky" to work with. - After realizing they need to pay for my broken washing machine, their project manager was so frustrated that "he needed a few days to cool off". So the project got delayed. - There were a number of miscommunications that lead to the project taking 10 weeks longer than initially estimated! 3. Communication issues. They ignored my calls and texts many times. I had to reach out to their owner, project manager, and scheduling manager to get some response. In the end, I withheld money until they completed the project. I do not recommend My Construction Group and I will not give them any of my future businesses. Tl;dr: - Poor customer service. They argue too much when evidently they're at fault. - No quality assurance. I'm not sure what's the point of hiring a contractor if I have to do all the QA myself. I know handymen that could've done this project much cheaper. - The price is ok but it definitely is not worth the headache that it comes with. Consult with other contractors.
