Joel created the perfect anniversary gift. My husband has wanted an aerial picture of our house for at least 20 years and we thought it would be hard and expensive. We were wrong. Drone + talented photographer = Joel = great gift. Joel was available soon after I hired him. He arrived on time, took the pictures and had a portfolio available for review within a few days. The pictures are awesome! There are several purchasing options, all of which are affordable. It was a really fun process and my husband loved it.

I have worked with Joel Moses Photography twice -- once for my wedding photos/video in 2006, and again recently when I needed updated professional photos. There are so many reasons that make Joel a great choice for professional photography -- great photos, flexibility in timing/location, quality finished product, quick responses by email and phone, nice studio... but I think the best things about working with Joel are not reasons you'd think of right away. Joel has a really unique personality (especially from what I've seen in the field of professional photography) -- fun, goofy, light-hearted, entertaining, dynamic -- and at first blush you may not realize how valuable that can be in capturing your best self during important (i.e. little bit stressful) events. Most people don't feel that natural in front of a camera, but Joel tells a few jokes, acts a little silly, and then you start to relax and your pictures come out gorgeous. At my wedding, everyone was stressed-out. My mom was yelling at my dad, the flowers in the church were ugly, I hadn't slept much the night before... but Joel worked his magic and giant group shots with all the extended family seemed so easy. My engagement photo was shot on location at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco and it's still my favorite photo of my hubby and me -- hangs in my bedroom to this day. Joel shot a photo of me in my bridal gown by myself on the stairs of the altar, with my train perfectly fanned out -- many of my girlfriends have seen this photo and remarked that they wished their photographers had done that too. My husband wanted a traditional album without angled shots or yearbook layout and Joel did exactly that for us. It's nice to work with someone who really listens. A few weeks ago, I needed to get new professional photos and I met Joel in his studio in Fremont. It's a huge, huge place and the room we used had all the makings of a modeling shoot -- lighting, fan, dance music. It was fun! 25 minutes later and 2 changes of clothing and I was out the door. I'm no model but I like my photos -- I think I look happy and my personality comes through. I think Joel's fantastic and I can't wait to see what Joel can do with my kids. My 2.5 year-old never seems to look at the camera, even with my SLR, but I bet Joel will keep her engaged long enough to get some great photos this year. Call Joel Moses! You won't regret it!
