Could not be happier! His free lesson was not a promotion to sell more lessons. His free lesson was an expression of his confidence that at no risk to me he could help. I'm not a dancer, but Daniel quickly found my strengths and built on those to find a way of turning my dread of two left feet into a way of expressing my joy through dance . He loves what he does and he is good at it. In two fun sessions I found my center, found the joy, and was able to express that at my wedding reception with confidence.

Daniel did a great job helping two people with absolutely NO dance experience WOW their wedding guests with their first dance as husband and wife. After just 6 45-minute lessons (and many at-home practices), my husband and I were able to pull off a rumba to Pussycat Doll's "Sway" (with only a few imperceptible mistakes)! Daniel was patient, thorough and really worked to make this a fun and fulfilling experience for us! Thanks for a job well done, Daniel!

Daniel is so great. We took beginner's salsa lessons. Daniel is a consummate professional - reliable, communicative, knowledgeable, patient, good-natured, flexible, funny, and versatile. He was equally good at explaining things to me in dance terms and to my (beginner) boyfriend using analogies that felt more accessible to him. We made a surprising amount of progress in a short time, and Daniel was super understanding when we barely practiced between lessons, helping us catch back up and still make progress every lesson. Daniel is also just a really chivalrous person and really brings the politesse of being a good dance partner into the lesson. Highly recommend getting a package of lessons with Daniel. It's a good value and those extra few lessons can take you from just-the-basics to having a reasonable set of moves that you can build on and improvise from.

We reached out to Daniel for dance lessons to create a first-dance routine for our wedding. We have only done two lessons so far, but Daniel is amazing. He's positive, encouraging, and really great at teaching two uncoordinated people to function together. My favorite tidbit so far is that he says his goal is to have us look like we CAN dance, not just that we learned a dance. We've already become so much better than I expected. So happy we found him.

I am a completely inexperienced 67 yo ballroom dancer, vision and balance challenged, with a history of performance anxiety. Despite these issues, Daniel was able to give me a wonderful start with enough success that I got the thrill of dancing and am inspired to continue. He was warm, patient, and encouraging in addition to being obviously very skilled and experienced.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

It is varied and that is exciting. Some students are getting ready for weddings, shows, or competitions. Other students want couple time away from the kids and something fun to do when they go out. Some couples are just finding a way to get to know each other better. I've taught at a few high schools for social dance, or stage performances. It is great to be able to introduce kids to dance, and satisfying to see how excited they are that they can do it.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Find the right fit. It is important that the teacher can explain things to you in a way that gets results. It is great if we know the direction of every step, but if we can't explain it in terms that you understand it doesn't help you learn to dance.
