Dumi from A Gordon Event is exceptional; I highly recommend her to anyone looking for wedding planning purposes that don't want to break the bank. We purchased the Partial Planning package from her, and she tirelessly made sure that our day perfect and stress-free. Her services could have easily costed twice as much somewhere else; I can easily say that I was the least-stressed bride that I know of - I was genuinely relaxed even in the last couple weeks because of Dumi's incredible work. She handled all the major pieces we were scared of - vendor recommendations (including different price points), vendor communications, contract review, scheduling, rehearsal coordination, day-of coordination, and even DIY setup. She also has great extras that we were not counting on, like providing sketches of what the ceremony and reception would look like, and having a nice set of (free!) rentals for things like candles, table numbers, easels for signage, faux greenery, and more. I am SO grateful we had Dumi as our planner, and highly recommend her to everyone - trust in her and you will have an incredible and stress-free wedding!

From the initial messages through the end of the event it was a pleasure to work with Dumi as our day of coordinator. Dumi’s skills in coordination and management shined while working with our small but oddly-challenging group as she deftly wrangled all vendors, set up beautiful spaces, handled a chunky situation with tact, and allowed two anxious people to have the peace they needed to survive their day; all while working through an unplanned downpour. Dumi exceeded my standards and executed everything outlined in the original agreement. We couldn’t have done it without her.

I can't say enough good things about Dumi - she was so kind, funny, communicative, a great listener, a lifesaver at many times, and made sure our big day was a complete success. Our wedding would not have been as amazing and perfect without her and Brandin there. She made sure everything we wanted to do to make our day special went off without a single hiccup. I have no idea how she can manage to make a 160 person wedding run so smoothly but she makes it look easy - it brought me so much peace of mind knowing she was there. Some memorable moments for me are that while I was busy on my wedding morning Dumi made sure everything was in place and reported back to me what was happening/being set up so I never felt out of the loop. Then I realized I forgot silver sharpies for the guest book and out of nowhere she pulls out exactly what we needed from her fanny pack!! She is always one step ahead. Dumi also made sure my pictures were on point and was throwing my veil to make it look like it was blowing in the wind - she literally thinks of everything. She was not only my coordinator but she was my bestie for the day. If there is anyone you can trust to bring your vision to life during your wedding, it's Dumi. You would be so lucky to have her by your side.

We got married at Temescal Beach House in Oakland, CA on 6/24/23. It was the best day of my life.  I simply can’t imagine our wedding without Dumi. Hiring her as a partial planner is one of the absolute best decisions we’ve made. Although we’re an older couple and knew we wanted a small, initimate, and relaxed local ceremony, the thought of planning a wedding was daunting and overwhelming.  My now-husband and I both have demanding careers, and didn’t have the time or desire to do all the work ourselves. I knew I wanted to choose my own venue, and perhaps some of the vendors. But beyond that, we wanted someone who could keep us organized, handle our timeline and wedding day countdown, partner on the overall aesthetics and vibe, as well as suggest and source key vendors like a photographer, DJ, hair/makeup, and floral design. Dumi surpassed all of our expectations. She took the stress out of wedding planning and helped ease my anxiety at every turn.  The qualities I appreciated most about Dumi include her directness and her emotional intelligence. There was never any confusion or ambiguity with Dumi, which was exactly what I needed. She quickly realized early on that I tend to be indecisive. She asked me if I’d rather be presented with a variety of options or just two when considering things like vendors, floor plans, design etc. For me, only having to choose between two options made a world of difference. It helped that I completely trusted Dumi’s judgment. All of the vendors Dumi connected me with were top-notch — I never would’ve been able to find professionals of that caliber. I also appreciated that Dumi kept our budget in mind and only suggested vendors that were within our price range. In many instances, she was even more budget-conscious than I was — and helped rein me in. Dumi was always responsive, addressing our queries and concerns promptly and efficiently.   Here are just a few accolades we’ve received from our wedding guests: “Most beautiful wedding I’ve ever seen and that’s an objective observation.” “I’ve never been to such a beautiful, joyous wedding. Everything was perfect.”  My relatives were impressed, too. Especially my cousin, who remarked, “I sure wish my daughter had had a planner like Dumi. She’s a real pro.” I highly recommend Dumi as a wedding planner, partial planner, or day-of coordinator.

If you need someone to handle all the little details for your wedding, Dumi is your person! Dumi thinks of absolutely everything and anything along the way. I was so grateful to work with her the month before my wedding to nail down logistics and final planning. On the day of, I didn't have to worry about a thing because Dumi had it handled in every way.
