Neil Kelly Guitar Instruction

I offer guitar lessons for children and adults on both electric and acoustic guitar, covering jazz, rock, blues, classical, and most popular styles. With a Master of Arts degree in music specializing in jazz studies from SJSU and decades of teaching experience, I focus on building a solid musical foundation. My students learn general musicianship, notes, tablature, and rhythm reading, along with the core fundamentals of the instrument. I also encourage students to listen widely and choose songs they’re excited about. When you’re learning music you love, practice feels inspiring, not like a chore.
