Hi, I’m Mike Sankin, founder of MS Construction and Services. I previously operated a construction business in Russia and hold an engineering degree. We are a craftsman-led custom deck specialist focused on new decks, complete replacements, partial repairs, exterior stairs and railing systems in composite, redwood, hardwood, selected exterior bamboo systems and pressure-treated wood when appropriate. They did a great job. Power washed brick and wood deck. MOve and replaced all furniture. Replaced wood broken or damaged pieces. Repair bannisters. Sealed deck. Looks like new!

We replaced our entire deck this summer and expected it to be a long, messy project. MS Construction and Services made it much easier than we thought it would be.Mike and his crew demolished our old 570 sq. ft. deck and stairs, built a new pressure-treated frame, and installed Eva-Last Infinity composite decking. They also assembled our 12' x 24' aluminum pergola and anchored it on six posts. The backyard looks completely different now, and we're using it far more than before.Their lead carpenter, Rashid, knows deck building inside and out and was meticulous about every part of the build. It was clear he cared about getting the details right, and it shows in the finished deck.Mike was easy to reach and kept us informed. We had a detailed proposal within a couple of days of the estimate, and the final price matched the quote, with no surprise charges. For the amount of work involved, the job was done quickly.We highly recommend MS Construction and Services to anyone planning a deck project.

Very happy with MS construction and the deck they built us. Very quickly installed and their guys work so hard. The do not cut corners and make good choices to make a deck be functional and pretty too.

Mikhail was very detailed and meticulous and did a beautiful job on my deck. He went beyond the job request and power washed the furniture on the deck and patio. I'm not sure I like the new color of the deck but that's on me--I chose it.

I got a quote, which I accepted, and completed a full back deck replacement with MS Construction. Mikhail was polite, knowledgeable, and responsive. He showed up at the scheduled times for the walkthroughs. He communicated frequently with arrangements, and was always accommodating. Mikhail offered options, and I chose composite for longevity and ease of maintenance. The workmen who came and built the deck were polite and very skilled. They sought my input throughout the project, kept the worksite clean, and took care with my property. The final installation is gorgeous and really well made, with precise measurements and placement. Overall my experience with MS Construction was excellent, and I highly recommend their service.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    First I try to understand what the customer wants. After that, I propose the optimal solution and technology and say the cost and terms of work. If the customer is satisfied with this, we put the work in the work schedule.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I have an engineering degree with honors. I even studied in graduate school, but instead of defending my PhD thesis, I went into business.
