- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
typically prices can vary from 15-40$ a room. Depending on the level of cleanliness the home is already in and how deep of a clean the customers want. Bathrooms 10-30. living rooms and kitchens are generally the same prices as bedrooms out of courtesy. Extras such as windows fridges and ovens vary depending on the amount and how dirty they are.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started cleaning professionally with a company called HomeJoy. I left them to pursue other opportunities as an independent contractor. But I've been doing residential and commercial cleaning since I was 16, Woking with my dad who is a general contractor.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure there is an understanding as to what it is you want done, before the work starts. That way, at the end, you know what to expect, and the expert knows what it is s/he is expected to do. So if its not part of the plan, its really up to the professional whether to do it or not. Please dont ever be upset with a professional for these things, after all YOU wouldnt want to do extra work for free right?
