Bernard Y. says, "Update: the company reached out and ultimately partially refunded part of the AC maintenance fee associated with the oiling of the outdoor unit fan, so given that there's some kind of resolution here, I am bumping up the star rating. It would still have been nice if the technician was more direct to customers at the beginning. The technician that came out was unable to clearly diagnose the problem of our AC unit. I had warned them that the symptoms only happen on hot days prior to the visit. The technician then proposed a maintenance service, which in of itself isn't unreasonable given that the unit was dirty, but when I asked what this service included, they said it would include a hose down, compressor maintenance, and oiling of the motor. They did not open the unit before saying this, so it's unclear how they knew the motor needed oiling - most modern motors have permanently sealed bearing that don't need to be oiled. And in any case, when I asked them what they didn't do anything except hosing down the unit, the technician said they don't have the right oil on their truck anyway. Overall the opaqueness makes Heating and Air Experts a company that I would not recommend to people in my community, and I will not hire them again for a future project."See more

Reassured that the coolant was not a problem. Turned out to be an electrical issue for the compressor. Also explained the air distribution system. The technician was patient with my hearing issues I recommend them."See more

After texting a bunch of HVAC companies these guys were one of few that agreed to do the work. Others said the job was too small. Once they arrived they got right to work. It wasn't a straight forward job so naturally I was concerned. I had nothing to worry about these guys were pros. They were done in less than an hour. I have to say these guys do quality work. They were very meticulous to make sure no air was leaking from my exhaust vent. They checked and rechecked. I was glad that their bread and butter is AC. My unit is on it's last leg. They briefly explained how they would do the work and gave me a ballpark estimate. I will be using these guys in the future. It's a great feeling knowing you have a trustworthy and meticulous technicians when you need them. They will do small jobs as well as large ones.
