Did an amazing job capturing the property at its best. The lighting used really helped remove some of the shadows that make the property look dark. He had a great turnaround time and provided a lot of great photos to choose from. He even gave me 2d layout that I can use in my listing.
I highly recommend John and will definitely use his service’s again.

Review Summary: Hiring Johnny for a rush job on a rush real estate shoot was the BEST decision I could have made for this project. It's a long review but will tell you everything you need to know in order to go ahead and just trust him for your job. This will also give him a chance to build a thriving Thumbtack profile, which I can now say from first-hand experience that he fully deserves!
Disclaimer: I write this review with mixed feelings because I secretly don't want Johnny to get so popular someday that I can't afford him anymore!! His is a hidden gem soon to be dug up!
FULL REVIEW:
Johnny responded to my initial request within minutes, and he was kind, humble, and respectful in asking for the opportunity. He was also honest and upfront about the fact that he was just getting started on Thumbtack and came across as simply grateful for the opportunity to be given a chance to show what he could do. He even reassured me that he'd just go ahead and shoot my project and I'd only pay at the end if I actually ended up wanting to keep the photos. And if I did want to keep them, he was offering an INCREDIBLY fair price, anyway. So there was really nothing to lose.
At this point, I thought he was implying that he was brand new to photography, but when I asked if he had any sample photos, he casually mentioned a real estate website that I was pleasantly surprised to find hosted many of his BEAUTIFUL photos. I was very impressed with his talent as well as his humble nature and decided in that moment to cancel the gig with the other photographer I had planned to work with and book Johnny instead.
We spoke over the phone on a Tues night around 9pm, and he showed up to the property the very next morning as promised since this was a rush job, and he even came 10 minutes early. He presented himself professionally and radiated very positive and welcoming energy. We smiled and shook hands warmly and felt like instant friends, and by this point, I was feeling totally solid in my decision to hire him.
We did a quick walk-through where I expressed what I was looking for and he offered his professional insight as well. This particular property would have been an especially challenging one to shoot for any photographer because it was a very outdated home both inside and out, and also had an entire fence completely blown over by the recent storm and construction debris that had been left on the property in very visible, high-traffic areas. Johnny took on the challenge to get creative and find ways to make it work, and sure enough, even with all that, he still managed to make the property look completely stunning!
He was also so generous to throw in a couple of extra surprises for me by creating a 2D drawing of the home to scale with every room labeled, and he also created a gorgeous and captivating "twilight photo" to provide me with a glowy sunset/night scene shot since we shot during the day. I asked if he would be able to add a couple more labels to the 2D drawing that I thought of after the fact if wouldn't be too much trouble for him. He said no problem and got that revision to me right away, which he definitely didn't have to do as a part of his scope of work, yet still generously provided.
During the entire process, Johnny exuded a type of relaxed confidence that allowed me (a total control freak when it comes to creative vision) to sit back and relax and just let him do what he does best. He made it very easy to trust that, if I gave him the creative space, he would find a way to simply handle it. He even reassured me with a smile not to worry about the GIANT mosquito eater that we discovered had entered the home, saying not to worry and that he would take care of that, too, no problem.
I trusted him enough to leave him alone with the house to do his thing and I left the property and told him to just let me know when he was done. About 45 minutes later, he texted to let me know he finished the job and we were both excited to see what he would make of this old house.
Since it was a rush job, I asked if he could send the edits by the next day if possible, which he said he should be able to achieve. But again, he surprised me and over-delivered, sending me a link to the photos and 2D drawing at 9pm that very same day of the shoot.
Needless to say, they were absolutely gorgeous photos - WAY better than the ones I took and edited myself that I thought didn't have much more room for improvement (I blamed the house for how bad it looked in photos, but turns out, it was me the whole time!) Totally impressed with his service, quality, and speed.
That night, I took down the Zillow photos I had taken myself and replaced them with Johnny's photos -- in the last 24 hours, we've already started seeing more inquiries coming in. Totally worth it!
I could not be happier with his work and would HIGHLY recommend Johnny for your real estate project any day. I will absolutely be working with him again the next time we have a home to photograph!! Thank you a thousand times over, Johnny!!!
