I’m a licensed plumber, and I always try to do the job properly without risking damage to your home or cabinetry. In your case, the sink was installed under a solid countertop and built into the cabinet. It was physically impossible to remove or replace the sink without one of two options: 1. The correct and safe way – to have a cabinet or countertop specialist first remove the countertop. After that, I could have replaced the sink easily and without any damage. 2. The alternative but risky way – to try to remove the sink from below by cutting the internal wood supports inside the cabinet. This would have damaged your cabinet permanently and likely caused more expenses in the future. That’s why I gave you professional advice to involve a cabinet or countertop specialist first. Not because I didn’t want to help, but because I wanted to avoid unnecessary damage and do the job the right way. I did complete the faucet replacement quickly and properly, as promised.
