We had Amelia's first vocal lesson with Sarah from Soulfulwake Studios, and it was such a great experience! Sarah was incredibly kind, patient, and encouraging with my 10-year-old daughter from the very beginning.
She took the time to explain what Amelia was doing well, gently corrected her technique, and gave her clear exercises to practice between lessons so she can continue improving outside of class. I really appreciated how she broke everything down in a way that was easy for Amelia as well as myself, to understand without making her feel discouraged.
You can tell Sarah genuinely cares about helping her students grow and build confidence. Amelia left the lesson excited to keep practicing, which says a lot. We're looking forward to continuing lessons with Sarah and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and supportive vocal coach!

Working with Sarah has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!! I started out as a BRAND NEW singer— hardly ever even singing in the shower! I was very nervous, shy and had absolutely no singing skills. Sarah helped me feel comfortable right away and gave me set exercises to practice everyday to develop my voice. Since working with Sarah my singing range has increased tremendously and I’ve developed a much more full and consistent tone. I’ve been working with her for 2 years now and continue to grow and evolve as a singer with every lesson. Sarah is amazing at breaking things down in an easy-to-understand way and is very encouraging and positive. She always makes lessons fun and encourages me when I get frustrated. Sarah has been working with me for a year at the time of writing this, and since then- she's worked so hard to bring out my potential and improve my tone and skills. Not only has she been a phenomenal vocal coach, but she's also been such a steady and caring person. I never expected the level of care she has placed in my mental wellbeing as well as my physical wellbeing for me. It's like I paid for a singing coach AND a life coach.
It has been mind-blowing to compare my growth since I started, and I hope I can see more improvements as time goes on.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First lesson is discovering where your voice is at. It's important to get a feel for your vocal range and ability to smoothly transition and connect your vocal bridges. I also make it a priority to know what inspires your love of music, what drives you to be your best, and what your learning style is. Feeling safe and accepted in all states and in all parts of the journey is very important to me as well. I am consistently relational and encouraging, because I believe in positivity and affirmation as the key to success. I strive to set high goals and standards, and I expect them to be achieved through hard work, grace, and inspiration. One of my many goals for you is to ensure that you achieve the full benefit, and full value of each and every session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Vocally educated since age 13. Former lead vocalist/guitarist for over four years through church. Formally trained pianist, self taught guitarist, and thriving songwriter.
I have been singing since a young child, creating songs at the age of a few years old, and writing music since junior high, as well as singing back up in church. I become a worship leader in high school and lead the entire band of instrumentalists which included: (background vocals, piano, drums, guitar, and bass).
I've also trained under Seth Riggs, the creator of Speech Level Singing. I am blessed to be able to change the lives of others through my gift of knowledge… as well as my innate ability to bring out your BEST.
