Working with Lou is an absolute pleasure. You can tell he’s been doing this for a long time! He quickly gauged my skill level and gave thoughtful insight on ways to improve my tennis game end help me identify weaknesses and bad habits to work on. Looking forward to a long and successful working relationship!Jun 14, 2020Verified

Lou was great teaching our family. This is our first time playing tennis together and we were nervous at first but Lou made us feel super comfortable. We played simple games to loosen up a bit then we worked on some technique. So happy we were able to do something together as a family. Looking forward to more lessons with Lou!Jul 4, 2020Verified
I (and both my kids) took lessons from Louis for many years when he was the head pro at our club here in the Boston area. He was also the coach for our women's winter league team (separate from the club). Louis is an amazing teacher -- he's very good at pinpointing one's weaknesses and helping you to change bad habits, but is able to do it with professionalism and grace. He is encouraging and positive. Both his one-on-one lessons and clinics are instructive. We're all so sad here in Boston that he moved to CA!May 7, 2020
Louis is the best tennis pro I've ever taken lessons with. He is patient, funny, kind and great at explaining strokes and strategy. He coached my tennis team for several years and my teammates and I all loved playing for him.May 6, 2020
Love my lessons with Lou. I’m a beginner player and don’t know anything about tennis. He was patient and encouraging during the process. Once I felt a little more comfortable, we mixed things up with drills and games to keep things interesting. Always a good workout! It’s been great so far and looking forward to getting back to a routine once the shelter-in-place order is lifted.May 16, 2020
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing may differ depending on location. If public courts, rate is $80/hour (private or group). If it’s at a private company facility where I also work, the rate is $90/hour. I do offer a new customer discount for the first lesson, as well as a 6 lesson discount package of 15% off. Get a 20% discounted lesson for each referrals you make.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Everyone who takes tennis lessons wants to learn, but some have different expectations during the process. It’s important to get to know them at first and ask for their playing history and their goals. Some want all hard work and maximize the time on court, while others want to have a combination of fun and learning at a medium pace. Kids are also all very unique. It’s important to only push hard at the right time while making sure they are always having fun.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) certified instructor (Elite level: ID#52360). I have been teaching tennis for over 20 years with clients of all ages and levels. I was recently the director of a Boston tennis and golf Country Club from 2007-2019 teaching private and group lessons as well as USTA teams practices.
