I am a nationally ranked Latin dancer with extensive competition experience. Dancing since the age of 12, I have been actively competing at the adult level in the U.S. and most recently was ranked in the top 17 for USA. Some of my competitive accomplishments include placing top 2 at the 2016 Vegas Open Dance Challenge, top 4 at the 2016 City Lights Ball DanceSport Championships, and top 5 for the 2015 Emerald Ball DanceSport Championships.
In addition to the 17+ years of dancing experience, I am also a seasoned instructor with 14+ years of coaching experience. I coached and spearheaded the competitive Latin Dancesport Team for San Jose State University, and then became a coach for the Stanford University competitive team. My dedication to dance led me to also pursue an education in physical therapy. From this, I have developed a unique coaching methodology which combines dance training with physical therapy, which helps to prevent many of the common dancing injuries today, and improves your posture and overall strength over time as well.
I can teach all experience levels (little to no experience, and competitive dancers), large groups, 1 on 1 private dance lessons, wedding choreography, and I can do performances with my partner at your special events as well. If you hire me, I am certain we will have a great time!

It was better than we expected. With no experience, Stacey helped choreograph our first dance perfectly! In the process of learning our choreo, Stacy was patient, attentive, and provided comforting feedback that made us feel confident for our first dance. This was a very fun activity and we hope to work with Stacey again. Definitely recommend Stacey as your instructor.
If you read her FAQs she really is about what she says. The recording at the end of lessons was key for us to improve our dance.

Stacey is a phenomenal dance instructor and a true natural. She was able to whip up an easy choreo for our wedding reception within an hour. We only had time for 2 days of lessons and were able to perform it perfectly. We already had a song in mind, but if you're still stuck on that, she could help with that too!

Stacey was an amazing dance instructor! Having no dance experience, we were nervous and didn’t know what to expect. She started with the basics and came up with super fun choreography to our wedding first dance song. She taught in a way that was easy to understand, and focused more on us dancing well with one another than looking perfect. We were also able to learn in a private area in the back of the ballroom so we didn’t feel awkward. We were able to learn our whole dance in just 5 sessions. It was a great experience and we know our wedding guests will be super impressed!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My lessons are 45 min sessions, and during this time I will gauge the pace in which you are learning and we will go comfortably at your speed! Feel free to give me feedback during lessons, as this helps me to customize my approach towards teaching you.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically start a new client on a short, basic routine. From there, we graduate to learning to count the music, and dancing the basic routine to music. We will also talk about how to improve your dance technique, which will make dancing so much easier for you!
I can work on lead and follow techniques for couples, and I also specialize in women's styling. I can teach you how to dance, feel, and look more feminine if this interests you!
At the end of the lesson, you may take a video of me doing a summary of what we've learned, so you can take it home as reference if you need to review before your next lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been training with world class coaches, former and current world champions, all over the world for 18+ years. You may recognize some of my coaches from Dancing With The Stars, such as Karina Smirnoff, Anna Trebunskaya, Edyta Sliwinska, Alec Mazo, and many more! I also had the privilege to work with a dancing physical therapist for 3 years, and I was taught how to move the body in dance in a way that prevents causing injury, and improves your overall health.
