Introduction: The unique aspect is my British accent. This, plus my experience of doing over 100 weddings, enables me to pitch the wedding at just the right level, whether that means formal, or more informal and casual with humor. Almost all of my weddings come from people who saw me do another wedding, and were so impressed that they engaged me to do theirs too. I love getting to know the bride and groom so that I can tailor a wedding that matches their personality. Usually I tell a personal story from their relationship during the ceremony, which both puts the couple at ease, (often adds some humor) and allows everyone there a window of insight into their relationship.

Glyn was the Officiant for our wedding this past August and let me start by saying he was awesome. We were having a non religious ceremony and wanted an officiant who could mix in a little religion but could also work with our casual laid back style. I was worried about having someone who knew so little about us be the one to discuss our love, but Glyn was truly a blessing. Glyn fit the bill exactly; he was easy to work with and blended perfectly in to the ceremony we were seeking. He asked us extensive questions to get an idea for the love story of my husband and I. Before the ceremony he was always available if we had any questions, no matter how silly they may be. On the day of the rehearsal I was pretty stressed out but he was flawless. Walking us through everything twice and prepping all the family members and bridal parties for their parts in the ceremony. The day of the ceremony came and I was actually surprisingly calm for the ceremony because I knew Glyn would do an astounding job and he did just that. During the vows he tied in some jokes to help loosen us up as well as engage our family and friends, he even had a 'repeat after me part" for the crowd. He kept a copy of our vows inside his pocket just in case he needed them, luckily we didn't. He lead the ceremony in such a way that it didn't even seem like he was giving directions to my husband and I, he was more carrying us through this beautiful day. It's obvious that Glyn absolutely loves what he does. He makes himself a part of the wedding and captivates the bride and groom as well as the audience. When he spoke about my husband and I during our ceremony it was like he knew us forever. He took the stories we shared with him and tied them into the ceremony just perfectly. Even better is his accent, he has a British accent that is absolutely fabulous, it made the ceremony that much better. I am so very thankful we found Glyn, our day just wouldn't have been the same without him.

Glyn was able to give us a great ceremony! We had a beach wedding and since our parents are not in the Bay Area we had them on Skype to watch. He was loud enough for them to here and performed the reading we asked. Very gracious for his services

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing ranges from around $500 to $825 depending on a number of factors such as: Is pre-marriage counseling desired? If so, 2 x 1 hour sessions are provided Is attendance at the wedding rehearsal required? (usually recommended) What is the travel distance to the wedding? (for example, if it's 30 miles or more, this could add 4 hours, in traveling to and from the rehearsal, and to and from the wedding itself) For couples with financial difficulties, the above rates are sometimes reduced.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Not really necessary, though I am familiar with a number of variable components within a wedding ceremony such as Unity Candle, Sand Ceremony, Cross Ceremony, Communion etc.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I am a pastor, so weddings come as part of the job, but I also marry plenty of people outside of my church. I love weddings and being a part of life's significant moments.
