Brett is a great guitar teacher who focuses on teaching the building blocks rather than just songs. Because of his unique teaching style, my teenager is able to play many different songs at a camp fire after learning from Brett for 8months.

I have been trying to learn guitar on my own for a couple of years and didn't have much luck. Also, I knew that I am a slow learner, and as a result was hesitant to take lessons for a long time.
I started with Brett a couple of months ago. First day was awesome, he had handmade me a custom folder with my name painted on it and everything! :) That was a great start.
For the weeks after that, Brett has been amazingly patient with my slow progress. He adjusts the material and reevaluates constantly. Has given me great advice on various guitar-playing related things, like how to build up a consistent practice habit or buying the perfect guitar that lasts long and sounds good while being inexpensive.
One last thing I missed to mention above, is his responsiveness. He is really busy but is also flexible with the schedule and moving things around if you need to. All coordination is normally done in under 5 minutes.
I highly recommend Brett to anyone who wants a carefully tailored learning program and a great teacher. :)

Brett is really nice, and although we've just started with two meet-ups now, my son is excited and encouraged with guitar. He's "practiced" a few times each day already, and for a six-year-old, that's a great thing. Brett is very positive, lets my son experiment, and talks to him with respect.

Brett has been teaching my daughter and me guitar for the past couple months. We are both complete beginners. After a few lessons we're both hooked! Brett has a great teaching style. He's patient and changes according to what we need. For instance, my little girl loves Taylor Swift and he is teaching her how to play Shake It Off while teaching me how to play classic rock songs. He's fun and encouraging, not to mention super flexible with his time. I strongly recommend Brett for learning guitar!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons are $45/30 minutes. Group lessons can be discussed as well, depending on size of group and each player's experience.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I speak with you over the phone to begin to understand your personality & learning style. Then, I'd like to know what your musical background is..concerts you've loved, songs you know by heart, current music you're listening to, how long you've played..anything to help me tailor your lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taught myself everything I know, so I am uniquely qualified to teach you the most essential pieces of playing ALONG with the correct order in which to do so. Twenty-three years of experience sitting behind a guitar is what I bring to each lesson.
More importantly, I've created a way to 'boil down' all of my mistakes over the years so that my students learn at an accelerated rate.
We play songs the first lesson, no matter what. That's unique.
