Joe is hands down the best piano tuner I've ever met. My Boston piano had not been tuned since I bought it from the San Francisco Steinway store in 2019, and it sorely needed a complete workup. Not only did Joe get busy tuning it, he educated me throughout about its maintenance, mechanics, history, construction and potential longevity. He also gave me his informative 13-page handout entitled, "Why do you need to tune a piano?" He showed me how to clean it, buff out scratches, take parts off and put them back on. Do give Joe and his wife a call. They're accepting new clients from San Mateo down to Los Altos.
