FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been taking photos as a hobby for a good 18 years and I majored in Photography in college and currently hold an Arts degree with an emphasis on Photography. Additionally, I have previously worked as a Nanny. Taking care of babies and children aged newborn - 9 years old.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I bought a Mickey Mouse camera at a garage sale when I was 9 years old. It took 110 film and I loved carrying it around and taking photos of my family and friends (and sometime my dolls). As I grew older I continued to take photos. A girlfriend of mine and I started experimenting more in depth as teenagers doing long exposures, multiple exposures and cross-processing our film. When I turned 20 my Dad bought be a point and shoot digital camera. It was my first digital camera and I went nuts taking thousands of photos! The freedom from film costs was quite liberating! When I entered college, it just felt like no brainer to enroll in photography courses. It was an eye opening and enthralling area of study! I had a blast in school. I began taking portraits for friends and their families and from that began to set up styled sessions for their babies. I've become so overjoyed with the results of the work and decided to work on it full time!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with 1 day old babies to 2 year old babies, and beyond. I love working with entire families and getting everyone involved in a session to really capture a family dynamic.
