FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard pricing system is: Consultation/Evaluation: $120 (approximately 1 - 1-1/2 hours) Private training $120 per session (sessions are one hour) Day Training: $120 per day (depends on time spent) Pay for five private training sessions or three weeks of day training at the first session and receive a discount/free session.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically conduct an evaluation/consultation to gather the information I need to put together a training plan. The number of sessions depend on the needs of each individual client. For those clients that want private training so they can train their dog, a minimum of 6 sessions is typically enough to work on one or two core behaviors or several basic obedience skills. For those who do not have time to train their dog then day training is the better option. Typically day training is conducted three times a week and a fourth meeting is scheduled for me to show you how to maintain the behaviors that have been established. To see a noticeable change a minimum of three weeks of day training is recommended.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied dog behavior and positive training techniques since 1999. I have trained with several top competition obedience trainers to learn their techniques. I attend seminars and workshops to learn more about ways to change common problem behaviors dogs can show like growling or lunging at other dogs. I am a certified professional dog trainer which means I have studied for and passed a national examination that shows I understand the science behind dog training methods and am committed to continuing my studies to stay up to date on the latest discoveries in the science of dogs.
