Introduction: First as much as I enjoy designing deck, I do not just design decks stairs or fences unless part of a larger project. Also I am not a structural engineer. I am a home and interior designer. I also have been a general building contractor for 40 years. I am familiar with all styles of design with an emphasis on contemporary and traditional design. I do drawings for new homes, remodeling, additions and ADU’s (in-law units). As part of my services, during the design phase you will receive multiple photo realistic 3D renderings which will show you what your design will look like when completed. Your plans will include. 1. As built plans of your home. 2. The proposed plan drawings. 3. Site plan. 4. Exterior and interior elevations. 5. Roof plan. Existing and proposed. 6. Various detail views. 7. Title 24 calculations when necessary. I can also submit your drawings to the city or county for your permit. Then follow up with them till the permit is issued. All drawings will be in CAD format and print to 24” x 36”. All permits do not need engineering drawings but some will. Although my proposal amount does not include engineering fees, I have several engineers that I work with that can do that phase of the work. I also will coordinate their work. Our initial meeting can be on site, Zoom or phone conversation. I work with my clients to give them the design they have been dreaming about.

Architectural Services

We were looking for a room addition and Michael was to help with the architectural planning and obtain the permit. Michael was very punctual in responding to messages, coming down to get the measurements and details and he was very informative and knowledgeable as well. Unfortunately we could not avail of his services since the city restrictions did not allow the addition but we will certainly recommend Michael

Michael has been amazing to work with. He takes the time to listen and help us make decisions for our second story addition. He is patient and has allowed us to make changes without any complaint. He is prompt and makes adjustments quickly. We are so happy with the work and look forward to our addition and seeing our vision come to life.

Michael is an accomplished architect and designer. He worked on converting our garage to an ADU and struck around to ensure the plans pass through San Jose city amid all true confusion, virtual appointments and document shares due to the pandemic. Michael had to revises the drawings at least four times, which he timely and consistently did, and helped us get the necessary permits over a period of 8 months.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Most important is to listen to the client. And to gather a sense of who they are and how they live. What do they like and, what they don't like.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have years of college education in the design industry. I started in the costruction business as a laborer. To get a thorough knowledge of how things are built. I learned the construction trade. Gradually I started designing.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I love architecture. Creating a beautiful space is an amazing feeling and a work of art that will be around for others to enjoy for many years.
