FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every project is unique, so I provide a fixed project fee rather than charging by the hour. I find this works better for my clients because they know the cost upfront and don't have to worry about how many hours are being spent on the project. My fees typically range from $2,000 to $7,000 depending on the scope, complexity, and size of the project. After reviewing the project details, I provide a clear proposal outlining exactly what is included.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process starts with a conversation to understand your goals, budget, and the scope of your project. Once I have a clear understanding of what you're looking for, I schedule a site visit (if needed) to take measurements and gather existing conditions. From there, I prepare the proposed design and floor plan layout for your review. We work together through revisions until you're happy with the design. Once approved, I complete the permit-ready drawings and coordinate with any required consultants, such as structural engineers or energy consultants, when needed. Throughout the process, I stay available to answer questions and help guide the project through the permitting phase until approval.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Architecture and Interior Design, as well as a Master's degree in Lighting Design, all completed in Brazil. I started working with residential remodeling and additions in 2010 and have continued building my experience through a wide variety of projects, including remodels, additions, ADUs, garage conversions, and permit plans. Since moving to the United States in 2018, I have been helping homeowners, contractors, engineers, and realtors navigate the design and permitting process for residential projects.
