Wow, where do I begin? We moved into a new home in 2020 and one of our goals was to DIY make it a “smart home”. We got smart EVERYTHING! Next, was time to install and set everything up. For the next 3 years, we piece mealed everything ourselves. It was the single hardest thing I’ve ever tried to do. I thought I was handy and very tech savvy. Nope! The devices would constantly lose internet connection, or battery would die, or my daughter would unplug something that was vital to the technology devices working. Anyways, someone recommended Jake to me. This was the best decision I’ve ever made. Handing off this headache to him improved my quality of life, bc this “smart home” stuff isn’t for me. Anyways, Jake came in, assessed everything, found dozens of pain points. He installed additional WiFi and Ethernet connections all over my home. He helped us migrate to a hardwired connection all over the house, so way less batteries were being used. Helped properly wire and setup out security systems. And so much more. Plus, I still text him with random questions or troubleshooting inquires and he’s so helpful without trying to continuously sell us on buying from him.

I recently built a brand-new, state-of-the-art dental practice from the ground up, and I cannot express enough how instrumental Jacob was in making everything come together. From the moment the space was just bare studs, he worked hand-in-hand with our architect to update the blueprints for all data, audio, security, and IT needs—even advising on optimal electrical circuit specs and outlet placement to properly accommodate our advanced systems and battery backups. Jacob designed our IT cabinet layout and collaborated with cabinet makers to ensure all hardware—from routers and switches to patch panels—fit seamlessly. He also helped us select and purchase high-quality cabling for a 2.5Gb Ethernet infrastructure, an audio system, and thermostats. Every cable he ran was meticulously organized, labeled, and terminated, passing all city inspections with flying colors. One of his most impressive feats was coordinating with AT&T to bury our fiber optic cable instead of running it overhead. He personally oversaw the installation of a conduit from the IT room to the street, preserving our building’s clean look and avoiding an unsightly cable in front of the practice. After the install, he tested each Ethernet port to ensure maximum performance for all our devices. In addition, Jacob installed a robust 16-camera PoE 4K security system with a local recorder and an integrated alarm. Each camera was strategically placed for optimal coverage, protecting our expensive dental equipment and ensuring both employee and patient safety. The system is easy to manage and provides the peace of mind every modern practice needs. He also put great care into designing our audio solution, allowing each room to function as a single zone or be part of a whole-office setup through Apple AirPlay. For convenience, he installed analog volume controls in each room, so staff can make quick adjustments without needing an app. Beyond that, Jacob installed and configured multiple displays throughout the practice, especially in our surgical rooms. These displays can cast live footage from our surgery cameras and from any workstation, giving both our dentists and patients a real-time view of procedures. This has dramatically enhanced our surgical process, improving communication and patient comfort by allowing them to see exactly what’s happening during treatment. All the while, Jacob remained mindful of HIPAA compliance. He guided us in choosing the right operating systems, security measures, and backup solutions to protect patient data. After installing and configuring our Eaglesoft software, he seamlessly integrated our imaging and fabrication equipment, enabling us to capture patient images and fabricate implants or crowns in-house with minimal turnaround time. He even ensured all installed technology matched the desired modern and clean aesthetic of our practice—down to selecting sleek mice and keyboards that perfectly complement the overall design. Overall, Jacob’s expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to collaboration made him an invaluable partner in creating our dream dental practice.
