FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is straightforward and transparent, with no hidden fees. Packages are based on the type of session or event, time coverage, and what’s included, and I’m always happy to walk through options to help you choose what fits best. A signed contract and retainer of half the total are required to reserve your date, with the remaining balance due on the day of the shoot. Travel fees may apply for locations outside my standard service area, and any optional add-ons or upgrades are discussed and approved in advance. Occasionally, I offer limited seasonal promotions or mini sessions, which are shared through my website or social media. I don’t regularly discount full sessions, as pricing reflects the time, preparation, experience, and editing that go into every shoot. If you ever have questions about pricing or need clarity, I believe in open communication and am always happy to explain how everything works before you book.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once you reach out, I focus on making the process simple, clear, and stress-free. First, we’ll connect to talk through your vision, timing, and any important details so I can understand what you’re hoping for. I’ll answer questions, make recommendations, and help you choose the best package for your needs. After booking, I’ll guide you through next steps — including planning tips, location guidance, and what to expect on the day of your session or event. My goal is to make you feel prepared and comfortable well before we start. On the day of the shoot, I take a calm, guided approach, helping with direction when needed while also capturing natural, candid moments as they unfold. Afterward, I carefully edit your images and deliver them in an online gallery with clear instructions for downloading, sharing, and printing. Throughout the process, communication is a priority, I’m always happy to answer questions and make sure you feel supported from start to finish.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My background is a blend of formal training, hands-on experience, and years of working closely with people. I’ve spent many years in the mental health and addiction field, which has trained me to be deeply present, observant, and responsive; skills that translate directly into how I work with clients in front of the camera. In photography, my education has been largely experiential. I’ve spent years learning through practice, mentorship, continued study, and refining my technical skills in lighting, composition, and post-processing. I regularly invest in ongoing education to stay current with techniques, equipment, and best practices so I can deliver consistent, high-quality work. Together, this combination allows me to approach photography with both technical intention and a strong focus on creating a comfortable, supportive experience for every client.
