I helped my friend find this trainer for her dog that was required to have training sessions by animal control. She was extremely honest and up front about how much work the training requires especially from the owners side. That said, she has been extremely accommodating and working with my friends dog for a couple sessions now, and she is doing an amazing job. I have seen huge improvements already, and the dog and my friend seem sooooo much happier in their relationship and life altogether! Too bad I don’t live in California, because I would hire her to come work with me and my dog in a heartbeat.
Barb was absolutely terrific. She had our dog Posey doing all the right things in a matter of 3 sessions. After our 1st quick meet we knew we had chosen the right trainer for our dog.
I requested a dog trainer through thumbtack and within minutes , I received quotes. The dog trainer I have now has done a great job and is very professional in her work.
Stephanie was VERY thorough in her analysis of my dogs. She is VERY gentle, patient, kind and I am overly happy with the results of her training sessions so far. She has only seen my 4 dogs twice, but already I have seen changes in them on the things she/I are working on. I would HIGHLY recommend Stephanie. Just my two cents =)
T'was my lucky day indeed the day I found Lois Hampton. We arranged a meet and greet meeting and I, as well as my little dog, GraciBel, were immediately comfortable with Lois and her husband George, GraciBel had been abused and was leery of any other human being, especially men. GB was immediately comfortable with both Lois and George. Lois does indeed go above and beyond the call in many ways, One of the wonderful things she always does is to keep you updated of what is going on with your pet while in her care. She is kind, and loving, and so caring. During your pet's visit, she takes the time to send emails to let you know how your pet is adjusting and, in addition, sends photographs. On our second visit, she sent me a photograph of GraciBel, sitting atop the sofa, wrapped around George's neck. I immediately knew this is a kind and gentle man as GraciBel would not get near a man at this stage of our rescue. From that time, when I pulled up to their home to drop her off for a visit, she would wag her tail, jump out of the car, and run up to the door. What a wonderful feeling! Lois and her husband, George, are wonderful people. The quality of their caring for your pet is beyond description. I am totally and completely at ease and comfortable when little GraciBel is in their care. I can think of nothing that would improve our experinece with these lovely people. In addition they are so accommodating. If a schedule changes, there is never a problem. They accommodate you in every way. In summary, my limited vocabulary does ot allow me to adequately describe these two wonderful people - Lois and George Hamptom - and what they have added to GraciBel's life and the caring and love and help they have given to her and to me in GB's transition from an abused little dog to a lovable little girl.. And for that I shall always be grateful. They are the best of the best! T'was indeed my lucky day when I met them and to now have them in our lives.
I received a referral for Tara from one of my pet activist friends. I am particular about who I let care for my dogs and she did a fantastic job caring for and grooming my dog Guinness. My husband and I call Tara the dog whisperer. She has a calm demeanor that my dogs sense and respond to.
Tami is an incredible trainer and problem solver. She makes sure any problems you might have with your critter are addressed. My experience with her has been excellent. When training is over should a new problem arise, Tami is right there for you. She came to my house to help with a problem I was having with my dog. Needless to say, she solved the problem. You can not go wrong with letting Tami and your critters meet, learn and have fun.
She gave a bath to my husky and lab mix and did a great job. I felt bad though cause they got her drenched with their shaking. She was smart and brought her own towel. Was very gentle with dogs and clearly is an animal person. Great job!

There is no one in this area who comes close to having my level of education or experience. I have a graduate degree that focused on zoology and animal learning, plus numerous training certifications that I maintain by continued practice of current training methods and continuing education. I have worked in a variety of environments including: veterinary clinics, federal government, Colorado and California state governments, behavior department at the University of California, and animal shelters where I worked with thousands of dogs. Since 2005 I have mentored countless dog trainers and offer lectures for dog trainers to earn their continuing education credits. In summary, I teach other teachers. My methods use effective reinforcement techniques, (not archaic punishment techniques from 20-100 years ago) and are in-line with leaders of the field from behavior departments in universities, veterinary behaviorists, applied animal behaviorist, and top-notch humane societies around the nation.

I walk, take care of and watch dogs and other pets. I travel to the customer, and I make being on time a priority. I work around the customer's schedule, and I am flexible.
I walk and sit dogs. I've done it a lot of times. I understand how people can be so busy and can't walk their dogs, or have to go out of town where dogs just can't go. I will do everything I can to make sure the dogs are safe and happy.
I walk dogs and take care of them. I also clean them and feed them as well. You can also trust me with your pets.
I can feed, play and walk your doggy and give it lots of love while he is in my care. I can also give it a bath and brush its teeth.
Our beginning class teaches beginning dog obedience and dog manners. The follow up classes works to advance the dog in obedience skills and then introduces the dog to beginning skills for such dog sports as rally obedience, therapy dog work, agility, flyball and formal obedience. We have some basic teaching methods, but realize that all dogs are different and sometimes need to be taught in different ways, so we adapt the method to the dog. I have been a school teacher for over 30 years, and also have taught and competed in a variety of dog sports and activities for over 30 years. We believe in happy, well behaved dogs and having fun in class. Come join us! See our website for times and locations.

I am a retired veterinary assistant, dog groomer, and dog breeder. I recently moved to CA to be near my daughter and get away from Minnesota winters. I miss all my contacts with a lot of dogs and am interested in doing some part-time work involving dogs. I would love to be able to help those who need assistance due to work hours or being out of town.
