FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I use a range of $40-$60 per hour depending on project. I prefer smaller projects that can be finished in a day or two versus weeks. Generally the less messy the lower the hourly rate. Since my preference is for smaller projects you can be sure I will NOT try to talk you into needless larger and more expensive jobs. Often I figure out how to fix something quickly that wasn't actually broken but just needed a small adjustment.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Start with a phone conversation; determine size and scope of project; timing; learn if we know people in common for references. Do a small trial project to build mutual trust that leads to a long term relationship.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My undergraduate degree is design/architecture. I have renovated many houses/apartments. I use creativity and practical solutions to achieve optimal results.
