I have accumulated 28 years of experience in the industry. My journey began as a young teenager employed by the San Mateo County Parks & Rec department, and continued through my early twenties. During my tenure at the parks department, I pursued studies in environmental horticulture at Foothill and CCSF community college. Upon completing my education, I transitioned to overseeing landscape maintenance crews, irrigation technicians, and landscape construction crews as a field manager for prominent commercial landscape companies. Our clientele included corporate campuses, shopping centers, municipalities, HOA's, business parks, large apartment complexes, and upscale residential properties. During my tenure working for other commercial landscape companies, I acquired numerous certifications: - Obtained a pest control license through the state. - Became a certified Arborist through ISA. - Achieved Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) status through the esteemed National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP). Within NALP, my expertise lies in Irrigation, Construction, and Landscape care. - Furthermore, I served as a Judge and later as a technical advisor for the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA), guiding aspiring industry professionals seeking certification.
