FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All pricing information can be found on the Empathy Cats website. Please know that I do charge $30 for the initial meet & greet, but I am happy to credit the $30 toward this booking if you decide to move forward with me. (Unfortunately Thumbtack does not allow me to remove the “Free in-home consultation” description.) To make the most of your booking payment, I invite you to sign up for the Purr Points loyalty program! Visit EmpathyCats.com and click the Purr Points icon at the bottom of the screen to sign up. There you can redeem your points for discounts or donate to a local non-profit.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before accepting a booking, I require my New Client Form to be filled for the safety and well-being of all fur-kids in my care. This will be provided upon initial contact. From there, we would set up a meet and greet. Please know that I will certainly wear a mask during the meet & greet, but rest assured I have received three covid-19 vaccinations. During meet and greets, we can go over your fur-family's daily routine. This includes things like feeding details, playtime, walking paths, litter boxes, and hiding spots. Please know that I also keep an open eye for: bug infestations, animal welfare and animal aggression. (Ants are not at all a big deal to me as long as they do not impact the welfare of the animals.) These things are rarely an issue, but I like to make sure that I communicate clearly to my clients so we can start on the right foot. If I decline a booking for any of the above reasons, please know that there is absolutely no judgement. I make my decisions with the safety and welfare of all in mind. Please also know that cameras do not bother me. I just ask that I’m informed so I can be aware. I feel that cameras are especially great tools for you to check on your fur-family when I’m not present. You may be able to spot emergencies or four-legged mischief that may require additional preventative attention.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
