Private Tennis Instruction

I started lessons with John as an adult beginner. Having zero experience playing tennis I was a little nervous but John is such a great coach and has a lot of patience. He’s a pro and is very knowledgeable making him a good instructor for players of all ages and levels. He’s really good at explaining the technicalities of the sport and a great teacher. He’s also just a friendly guy and his positive vibes makes it fun. I’ve had 3 sessions and I’ve already learned and improved so much. I’m looking forward to growing in this sport and glad I found John to be my coach.

Private Tennis Instruction

Coach John has been working with my 13 yo son for the last several weeks and it has been a very positive experience. He pay meticulous attention to form and footwork, both of which is rare to find these days in coaches. Due to this new attention to form, my son has progressed quickly, picking up nuances of how best to use his core strength and footwork that he has not worked on in the past. Given the pandemic, John is also very conscientious about social distancing as well as care taken with tennis balls, to ensure safety for all. I am so far very impressed and looking forward to further development.

Private Tennis Instruction

After working with Coach John for a few sessions, I can tell he is a greatly experienced tennis coach. He is excellent in observing my strokes and suggesting tweaks and adjustments on my grip, swing, arm extension and foot work to improve my overall tennis skills. He is a great communicator too, always looking for my feedbacks on the tips he gives. He is also very excited about tennis matches, has great knowledge on modern tennis techniques and tries to incorporate them into his students' playing. I think he is a good coach for all level tennis players and has better teaching ability than a professor like me ;)

Thank you Professor Joan for the lengthy write up! You are just as good a student as you are a teacher and it shows in your overall skillset progress on the tennis courts. Coach John

Private Tennis Instruction

John is great. He is always energetic which I really appreciate. I started as a total beginner and was not good at almost every kind of sport. But thanks to his instructions, I gained confidence on playing tennis. And thanks to his reminding about some details like tennis shoes and dampeners, I avoid body injury.
John da Silva's reply
Thank you Yan! We are still going to make a player out of you:) You made some big strides lately and the last session shows some real progression. So very happy to see you move 👆

Private Tennis Instruction

My son (who has had lessons with another coach for 3.5 years) started a lesson with Coach John last week, and immediately liked his coaching. John clearly explained the details of modern tennis trends to generate a topspin and corrected my son's forms. On the second lesson, I already saw improvements both with forehand and backhand strokes. John also gave my son homework to improve tennis outside the court. I think his coaching is fundamentally very strong and also he knows how to teach. Thank you Coach John.

I enjoy coaching Andrew and seeing results right away from his two sessions on court with me. Thank you for the great review Michael! Coach John Michael da Silva
